A picnic lunch atop a fire tower in the
Poconos with some of the best friends I had at the time. Bread, cheese and tomatos never
tasted so good.

This is really tough. But I'm gonna go with
steak, a loaded baked potato, a salad, and a Coke. Definitely cooked by my mom at home.

Wow, I dunno, I have had *so* many good
meals in my life (I grew up in the South)! I think the one that comes to mind though is
when my uncle made barbeque from his pigs...that was some of the best stuff I'd ever had,
and we had all the good veggies to go with it (squash, corn, some type of casserole) and
homemade lemonade. :) Thank God for Southern cookin ;)

Rather that remember a menu or a
venue, I keep in mind the advice,"Better a dinner
of herbs where love is...."

The best meal I've ever had is every
Thanksgiving at my parent's. My dad smokes a big turkey, my mom makes all the fixings and
we feast. Needless to say I am soundly sleeping within an hour after eating.

I think almost any meal with family is a
good meal -- especially the summer barbeques at my sisters' houses. Entirely too much food
and fun.

Pretty sure we had this question in
the end of last summer but okay. At this restaurant/inn
in Old Saybrook, CT ... called The Castle Inn. The steak was called Castle Inn Black Angus
Special. It was this incredible slab of meat, broiled so tender and juicy with just the
exact right amount of garlic and seasoning on it...and it was sitting in this blackened
sauce/gravy that was out of this world. The steak, I think was Porterhouse...but it was by
far the best I've ever had anywhere, anytime.

Just one meal? The most extraordinary meals
I've ever had were at the two Chinese Wedding Banquets I was fortunate enough to attend.
Fourteen courses, each memorable, along with enough ritual to fascinate the western
observer. There was a perfectly prepared and beautifully served meal at the Four Seasons
Hotel in Munich. But I'd also have to count brie and French bread eaten out of hand,
accompanied by some red wine, in the cockpit of our sailboat at the end of a long day on
the water with good friends, my mother's corn chowder on a cold day on the Hudson, and any
number of lovingly and skillfully arranged dinners at the homes of friends.

Oh, man,
I have had so many meals that I thought was the best. Every November my husband and I get
up one morning at 3am and drive to a Wildlife Refuge in Delaware to see the thousands of
snow geese that have stopped there. We try to arrive by about 6:30, and after a morning
watching these beautiful creatures we drive to a little restaurant nearby and have a
crabcake sandwich and french fries and at that time and place, THAT is the best meal I
have ever had. On many April mornings, we get up at 5am to go birding in a nearby park.
After a few hours we eat a peanut butter sandwich and THAT is the best meal I've ever had.
But the most recent "best meal I've ever had" was at a local restaurant where we
went for dinner. I had Crab Imperial, green beans, and a baked potato. THAT was the
best!

I have eaten an awful lot of meals in the
last 22 years... it is hard to say. the spinach conchiglie I got at the Pasta Bowl in
Chicago was excellent. The thai salad I got at the Noodle Shop was really good
too... the vegetarian burrito I got a Chipotle was excellent as well... but most of the
best meals I have ever eaten have been cooked at home by my mom.

Besides my mom's chicken and noodles?
Probably the fried chicken at the Ox Yoke in the Amanas.

It was a
meal we cooked overselves on a tiny cottage stove. WE were on a remote island on Georgian
Bay. Good food and good friends. All I remember is the excellent spareribs and falaful and
salid (there's always salid).

The best meal I've ever had was at a
restaurant called "Bob's Steak & Chop House". It is very upscale steak
restaurant in Dallas and is frequented by many well to
do people and I can see why. The meal was absolutely fabulous! The steak melts in your
mouth and the service and atmosphere is impeccable. Great place!

Best meal.. Probably at Aureole, at the
Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. It was well over $500, but worth every penny. Mostly for the
company. We could have gone to Denny's, and it would still have been as special.

my fav meal that i can remember..was a

was absolutely delicous!!it was in some sort of dill sauce..but it was to die

After a 5 day hike that was poorly planned I
stopped at McD's and wolfed down about a half dozen burgers, a couple pies and a shake.
Sometimes it ain't about the food.

September 6th,
2001. I was in Vermont near Montpelier. My best friend took me to A Single Pebble. If
you're near there and you even remotely like Chinese food, GO. In fact, go anyway. It is
to /die/ for. I would walk a thousand miles just for a plate of their dry fried green
beans. Every thing on their menu is straight from heaven. I even ate the oysters and I
loathe oysters, but some how they made them delicious. I could drool on about it for days.
My other favorite meals have all involved my best friend as she is just a fabulous cook
and anything that comes from her kitchen is going to be perfect. Ok, I'm hungry now...

The best
meal would have to be this dish I made up, I kinda just put a whole bunch of stuff
together and it was awesome. It was in my Kitchen. I have shared it with my whole family,
they like it too.
