What
are your Oscar picks?Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon should win in every category
it was nominated for. I haven't seen any of the films that the nominees for Best Actor,
Best Supporting Actor, Best Actress or Best Supporting Actress were in so I'm not sure.

I am usually off target but here it goes:
Julia Roberts (best actress), Russell Crowe (best actor), Albert Finney (best supporting
actor), Marcia Gay Harden (best supporting actress), Gladiator (best film), Steven
Sodenberg (best director). My personal picks would replace Gladiator with Traffic
and Finney with del Toro.

Well Felicia, I'm glad you asked. .
. Let's just talk the major five categories. .
I think that Frances McDormand should win for Best Supporting Actress. .I think
Frances McDormand will win. ..
(Gay Harden actually won for Pollock, the
night's biggest surpise. .)
I think Joacquin Phoenix should win for Best
Supporting Actor. . I think, almost surely, that Benicio del Toro will win. . . (del Toro
won. . .)
I think Julia Roberts should win for Best
Actress. .I think Julia Roberts, the biggest shoo-in of the night, will win. . (Roberts
won. . )
I think Russell Crowe should win for Best
Actor. I think Russell Crowe will win. . (Even I was a little surprised that Tom Hanks
didn't take it, and Crowe actually won. )
I think Gladiator should win for Best
Picture. I think Gladiator will win for Best Picture. (And the favorite actually won,
although Soderbugh's win for Traffic, a big surprise for me (I thought if Ridley
Scott wasn't going to win as Best Director, which was my choice. . it would, almost
certainly be the main favorite, Ang Lee). . .made me pause for a couple seconds,
especially with Michael Douglas presenting the Best Picture award. . .Could Traffic
actually pull it out?. .I was pretty glad it didn't, as it was my least favorite of the
five nominated. . .My fave picture of last year was Requium for a Dream. . .my rankings of
these five nominated were 5) Traffic 4)Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 3)Erin Brockovich
2)Chocolat and 1) Gladiator. . .But I did actually like all of the pictures this year
quite a lot. . .
What were your choices, Felicia? I
bet you picked Traffic. ...

I don't think I've seen a single one of the
films in any category...I'll say Gladiator gets three but best actor will go to Tom Hanks
causing even him to scream out 'Bullshit! Again?' Should be a decent show though
with Steve Martin.
Alias Irrelevante
Julia Roberts for best actress
Russell Crowe for best actor
Gladiator for best picture

I don't watch the Oscars and don't really
care who wins. The only movie I've seen is "Erin Brockavitch" which was
excellent. So I guess I hope Julia Roberts wins. Everyone says she's a shoo-in so...

My oscar picks is that a bunch of rich
actors and actresses will make a lot of long winded, boring, stupefying speeches, and they
will set a new record for the longest awards show ever.

Best Picture: Traffic I don't know what else

I didn't see most of the movies, however
Benicio Del Toro did an outstanding job in Traffic.

The Oscar Hoopla is an area in which
I have no expertise and no opinion.

I have no Oscar Picks. I am boycotting the
Oscars this year because the most deserving movies did not get nominated for anything.
I.E. Remember the Titans. Denzel should have definately got a nomination for Best Actor
and the movie for Best Picture. I am not saying Denzel should have won for this movie,
because I do think that Russell Crowe or Tom Hanks deserve the Oscar, but Denzel should
have gotten nominated. and just to mention it. Denzel was jipped last year at the awards.
He should have won for his portrayal of Reuben Hurricane Carter in the movie Hurricane,
but instead the award went to stupid Kevin Spacey. American Beauty was a dumb movie. I
understand its values, but it should never have won/or been nominated for as many awards
as it was last year.
