If you could go back in time and have lunch with 4 famous people, who would they be?

Samuel Clemens and James Herriot would be my more mundane  choices.
Jesus Christ and the apostle Peter would be my other choices.

Do they all have to be from the same time period, and do they have to be from the past? I'll assume not. Okay, I'd want to eat with the current Dalai Lama, Gene Kelly, John Keats, and Padraic Pearse. I wish I could have more, because I sure wouldn't mind if Lava Burton and Anthony Edwards and Ralph Waldo Emerson stopped by.  Plus the guy who invented air conditioning--I owe him a hug.

If I could go back in time and have lunch with 4 famous people, I suppose they would be the following: I would like to have lunch with William Shakespeare, with Socretes, with Abraham Lincoln, and with Christopher Columbus. It would be an interesting lunch.

Am I mentioning the name Mark Twain a lot? The other threee  would be Lenny Bruce, Sam Kinison and Bobcat Gothwait.

Well, I don't know how well their lives overlap here but Andy Kaufman, Bill Hicks, Lenny Bruce, and Kurt Vonnegut.

If I could go back in time for a fascinating conversational lunch, I'd aim for Neolithic times and a chat with the women who first developed the idea of herbal medicine; for the women who first thought of weaving plant fiber; for the women who designed the first cooking tools.
