What mannerism,
speech habit of other people annoys you the most? Preempting the conversation, particularly when the monologue isn't
related to the previous discussion. Even more exasperating is an uninformed fool,
professing knowledge that he does not possess.

Hypocrisy, first of all. I can't
stand people who preach and lecture about their religion, beliefs, etc., but have no
qualms about treating people awful. I also cannot
stand rude drivers. Just let someone in during traffic already!! It won't kill you!

I guess I don't see the point of
letting other people bother me a whole lot. They do, sometimes, but the beautiful thing
about other people is that you can usually get away
from them. I can't get away from myself, though, so I try to make myself as tolerable as
possible.

It used to be whenever someone would
say "axe" instead of "ask". Like when they would axe a question. I
thought it was a sign of ignorance, but now realize
that its more like a regional thing.

I don't understand why people can't speek
their mind and are threatened by those who do. 90% of the conversations I find myself in
end up sinking to the level of "cooooo cooooo". Where as, when I find an excuse
to start a conversation, I tend to bring up Anthony's top 4: Suicide of the species,
eugenics, revolting against "THE MAN", and sex. I don't have many friends
anymore. F*ck'em.

People who talk in halting, nervous, or
strained manners tend to trigger an emotional response in me that is akin to primordial
rage. Although you would never know this if you were such a person in a coversation
with me.

People
who flutter their eyes when they talk annoy me the most. This isn't very common, but
when I come across it in someone, I want to slap them silly.

From my own personal opinion (I
don't know if this qualifies as one of the above), but I work in a place that requires me
to work with people constantly all day long, which also
includes answering phones. One of the things that annoys me the most is when someone calls
for someone that's not in, and when I ask if they'd like their voicemail, it turns into
this major decision. "Ummm....gee....I don't know...hmmm...(sigh)..." C'mon
people, it's not like you're choosing a new car, it's voicemail.

Spitting, stuttering, "homey"
talk, overused sarcastic tone, overobsessive gayness slander, "valley-girl" (or
boy) snob sighs, and the "I'm all that" cockyness.

The
stupid pride in ignorance that comes from the insecure feelings of inadequacy uneducated
people insist on embracing to define themselves. Using "ain't" and double
negatives with even the slightest bit of self-consciousness that you are not speaking in a
grammatically correct way, and trying to swagger an attitude around it of not caring when
it's closer to the truth that the person believes they are probably incapable of getting
the simple conventions of diction and grammar down correctly.

When people don't say words right, I can't
restrain myself from telling them. "Americans Online" is one of the worst. I
hate AOL, but people should at least know how to say it. My mother's boyfriend says
"oynge" instead of orange, "Dathenport" instead of Davenport (a city
about 60 miles from here, or a couch), "liberry" for library, and all manner of
other crap. On the subject, I also have it when people misuse apostrophes. There was a big
sign above a store in town that read "Video's and More". I just wanted to walk
in there and ask them if they ever read their sign. I mean, several different people would
have seen that sign before it even went up on the building. The people who named the
store, the people who made the sign, the people who put it up, etc. I find it hard to
believe that there wasn't a single intelligent person involved in the whole situation.
