What
was the last good professional experience that you had?I kept my temper in a
very difficult situation.

You mean job? My workplace is the best place
ever. I work in a lab, and it's very laid back, very little pressure to get the work done
at a certain time, just by a certain time. We have picnics, wine and cheese, we can dress
how we want and listen to music. I guess it's not all that professional, but I wouldn't
want to be anywhere else.

Today, June 17, as a matter of fact.
I attended the House The Senate Built project. The four
HFH affiliates in RI, in cooperation with Senators Jack Reed and Lincoln Chafee raised the
walls on a Habitat for Humanity house in the Olneyville section of Providence, RI.

My promotion a year ago. It was a fairly
hefty sum (by my standards) and really made me feel appreciated where I worked.

I recently attended the national conference
of an organization where I am one of the members of the Board of Directors. I received
quite a lot of positive feedback from colleagues around the nation on several
presentations I did. I also had a colleague whom I've only conversed with on the phone say
some flattering things about how young I was given the presence that I project on the
phone during meetings.

I work for Prudential Insurance. The company
recently went public, so we just had our first annual meeting. I work in the audio/video
area and our department is responsible for presentations. So we had to prepare the meeting
area, set-up the stage, presentations, signs, etc. I had the pleasure to work with this
wonderful person, Chet. He was the laison between the senior management, the venue and the
rest of us. He never got ruffled, upset, angry even when things got hectic. He was always
professional and cheerful to work with. Our whole department worked well together. It was tiring but a good experience.

Hah. This is a good one... I was at
Quick Care the about a week ago with a really bad
migraine. The doctor that saw me was the first one not to shoot me up with Demerol and
send me on my way. She gave me Toradol, a muscle relaxer, and Phenergan, an anti-nausea
medication. She also gave me some info on other things I could do to combat my migraines.
I was very grateful for her, and wrote a letter to the County Hospital that runs the Quick
Care letting them know how great she was.
If more doctors were like her, I don't think
Nevada would be having this huge healthcare crisis right now.

Most of my professional experiences are
pretty good. I had an interesting one on Friday, when my agency "borrowed" me
from my current contract and sent me into a new client to assess their existing database
applications. I went in expecting to find a mishmash of power user projects and instead
found a well-designed and implemented, very professional application. I even learned a few
things from the design.

Hmmm. That's a hard one. The last good
experience I had at work was five years ago when everyone in our section but me retired
and while they were hiring some new people, I was kind of "in charge" and did a
little of everything. I felt that my co-workers respected me for the first time. I looked
forward to coming to work because my day was so busy and varied. Didn't last long though.
In a couple months they hired a bunch of people and all responsibility was taken from me
and I was stuck with the dull, boring work.

Well...my Mother and I went to a
restaurant last week...one that we had never been to before. She was very excited to go
there because a lot of people had been telling her how
wonderful it was. It was quite a distance from our homes, so it was kind of an
"excursion" for us. Anyhow, the owner evidently overheard us discussing the
length we had gone to to patronize her establishment and she came over to personally thank
us for choosing her restaurant. I thought
that was pretty nice.

If "professional" means standard
issue corporate ethics and speech patterns I'm not sure the question makes sense. The last
good job related experience I had though was a quick aproval from my bosses to take a
couple of the kids up with me in a Cessna for a scenic flight. I thought it wouldn't get
okayed for weeks but it only took two days.
