Have you written your will?

Yes, of course. Although the question has reminded me that I haven't redone it since I moved to a different state a few years ago. I should take care of that.

Not only have I written my will but I change it often.

Laney

Nope. I don't have anything to give anyone anyway.

Stephanie, 25
TX  USA

Yes, I have and it's hidden away somewhere, so when I die, they will come across it when they pack up my things. It's not a legal will, but I have left everything to a sole beneficiary.

Brad, 21

Yes. I bought Home Attorney software for $30 and tailored that will to suit our circumstances. Probably if we had a more money and complicated inheritence, we'd need a lawyer. We took them to the bank to have them noterized.

Good question. Not yet and thanks for the gentle reminder.

Fisch, 47

NO! My husband keeps finding excuses to not do this. It makes me nuts.

Laura, 37

Yes, it was strongly encouraged by my employer before I worked overseas. Too bad I don't really have much to leave behind. Basically it says my siblings can have their pick of my cd collection.

Ryan, 28
Riedlingen  GERMANY

I have had a will for 37 years. I've had a living will for 15 years.

Jill, 61

Well, what would be the point in that? After all, when you have nothing, you can leave nothing, so what is the point?

Pluto, 30
Underworld

I'm only 25. No :P

Talia, 25
Stamford
, CT   USA

I do. But it is not notarized or witnessed. I keep meaning to do that.

Felicia, 36

Yes we have finally written our will. My husband had to have major surgery last fall so we wanted things to be put in order just in case. After 5 months of hospitals and home care he finally returned to work so I am glad we did write the will and healthcare poa. At least now we have it.

Marci, 56

Yes. After we had kids, my husband and I set up a will and trust for our children.

No

Melodi, 19

6/10/02 I used to write a will every so often, but I didn't make it official with a lawyer or anything. My father made me sign one when I was in college. I'd like to write a new one to negate that one--a new one which includes my husband and pertains to what I actually want for my loved ones.

Karen, 22
Ames
, IA   USA

No, and since I have a child I probably should. But, half of nothing is still nothing, right?

Nicci, 27
Las Vegas
, NV   USA

As I have no children and few relatives, I have not written a will. They say that everyone needs a will but I don't know why.

Reba, 50+
Silver Spring
, MD USA

No, I dont have that much to leave.

Tam

No. We don't have any children yet so it's not top on my list of things to do right now. As soon as there's children in the picture I am sure I will!

Tracy, 24
Ocean City
, NJ  USA

Nope, but now that I have a family, I should start thinking about that, huh?

Doug2, 29

No, though I realize I probably should.

Triana, 29

Nope.

Firelady, 24

It is written, but not officially notarized or witnessed.

Felicia, 36

I don't have anything worth inheriting.

Eric, 20
Beverly Hills

Nope.

Keri-Jade, 21
Brampton, Ontario  CANADA

Nope. Hmm...I guess I should. It doesn't really even have to be formal. I could just write in on a piece of paper, and put it away or somethin, and let someone I trust know where it's at. I just may do that. But all it would say probably is ..."Dear Family: Take whatever you want, and give the rest to the poor." Something like that.
