If you where forced to go to war due to a new terrorist attack that caused a huge draft of men and woman, what would you do?

It's unlikely at my age, but if called I'd go. In case of a major attack, I'd do anything I could to help out.

I'd go, but declare conscientious observer status.

I can't imagine being drafted at my age, but if I were I could be useful dealing with paperwork. I'm good at paperwork.

I can't imagine that a woman my age would be pressed into front line service, but I would serve wherever I was needed, perhaps freeing others for more active duty.

Jane, 62

I guess I would go to war.

If the cause were justified, I'd go to war. None of this Afganistan "war" shit: it has to be an actual war, fighting on both sides, not just senseless civilian bombing. About women being drafted, if they can make the cut, why not? of course, in two-parent homes, one parent should be forced to stay home, whichever is less capable of serving. Women in the army? Hell, yeah, as long as they can prove themselves worthy!

Guess I would tie up loose ends, go to war and kiss my ass goodbye... (ever the pessimist)

Fisch, 47

If I didn't have my son, I would go in a heartbeat. Since I have a child, I'm not eligible for the draft. If I couldn't go, I would do everything I could to support those that were called to duty.

Kiss my wife and kids goodbye, pray for survival and go fight for my country. Pretty cut and dry. What else is there to do, run to Canada?

Doug2, 29

Cry, probably.

Talia, 25
Stamford
, CT   USA

I would be scared to death.

Tam

I would do everything to get a non-combat job... communications, clergy, food service, whatever it would take not to have to kill another.

Ryan, 28

Go. If you are forced, you are forced. I couldn't run away anyway, not my style!

A huge draft of men and woman? I'd try not to be the woman. Where forced to go to war? I'd move. But I'll answer the question in the spirit it was asked: if my husband and/or I were endangered by somebody else's war, I'd do whatever was necessary to dodge the draft. Rough as our lives have been lately, it's not worth losing them for a cause we don't feel strongly about.

Karen, 22

I would undoubtedly do what I had to do.

Reba, 50+

I would probably go...if I were being forced to join the war effort,  there's not a whole lot I could do.

Kyle, 16

Inform them that I am both a conscientious objector and a gay man. They still don't let queer people serve. Even during a draft.

Eric, 20

I'd go.

Laura, 37

I would become pregnant and break both of my husbands legs.

Stephanie, 25
TX  USA

I would not go, instead i would probably go to jail for refusing the government's wishes to go to war.

Brad, 21
Sydney AUSTRALIA

I'd run to Canada.
