Illicit - none, ever! I take birth
control, the occasional Tylenol when my headache is unbearable. That is about it, I don't
like to take too many drugs.

I don't
appreciate the loss of control of physical pain of drugs. Smoked cigarettes a few
times during my Jr. High School days. Couldn't stand how they burned my lungs. Figured
they weren't worth the pain. Tried pot during college, not for me. Drank alcohol to
excess during college and since then only a couple of times a year (if that). Have taken
antibotics when prescribed and cold medicine on occasion. Novicain sometimes, although
I'll opt out if I can. Almost never take aspirin or other pain killers. I try not to
take any medication if I can help it.

Cigarettes and alcohol. I'm HIGHLY allergic to pot actually. Bleh. I'm a bit of a control
freak, so mind altering substances aren't necessarily my cup of tea. I don't even really
like getting drunk, because I hate not being in control of my actions.

I have NEVER done any illegal or
recreational drugs. The only drugs I have taken have
been via prescription for a medical condition.
Ernest, 28

Currently, caffeine is my drug of choice.
In the past I've used a variety of antibiotics and pain killers.
I drink beer or wine occasionally.

I've done acid twice. I've done a little
pot. Nitrous once. DXM repeatedly. No more. Not for a while and no plans to do any again.

I was addicted to codeine for about 4
months, every day user. Other than that, nothing. I have never smoked a cigarette or
anything else (besides the occasional cigar). All of my friends do drugs of some sort, but
after codeine withdrawal I am a little nervous - that was hell on earth. I drink

I don't like taking any drugs, not
even aspirin. When I feel like crap, people always have
to remind me that I could take something to make me feel better - usually the thought
never crosses my mind. I don't know why I'm like that. Weird. I do take vitamins,
however. Right now I'm taking pre-natal ones because

I use Slophliyn and Ventalyn for my Asthma,

I use hayfever prevention tablets during the
Summer months, but none apart from that. I have tried an illegal substance once, but I
decided it wasn't for me.

1) Nicotine- a pack a day smoker
2) Caffeine- major method of transmission-} coke
3) LSD - i freak myself out once every several months
4) marijuana- i have had wonderful luck in that i have never spent a cent on weed, and
somehow noone considers me a mooch
5) I've tried mushrooms and had one of the best nights ever
6) I've also tried ecstacy and it felt wrong to me...I couldn't get over the fact that the
happiness I felt was drug induced, where as with hallucinogenics the fact that what you
see and feel isn't real is more of a reassurance.
hurm...think thats everything, I've avoided heroin for obvious reasons, and cocaine
because I'm a cheapskate (see #4)
I don't even count alcohol because I use it
so little, it bores me
Anthony, 25

I have never done drugs, nor do I ever plan
to. I'm straight-edge and very proud of my decision. Happy with it.

I used to
smoke pot allmost every day, but then I stopped. The truth is, I didn't really like it. It
made me paranoid. Once in a while, I'll be at a party or something and someone will pass
around a joint. Sometimes I'll take a hit, but I usually wont. If I do, I spend the rest
of the night hating it and asking myself why I did it.

I have tried a few drugs in the past. I have tried marijuana, cocaine, shrooms,
acid, amphetamines and alcohol. That was in my crazy youth. Nowadays, besides the occasional alcoholic binge, or hit from a joint, I refrain
from such experimentation.
Kevin, 33
Sugar Hill, GA
Half a
joint - no noticable effect and I didn't see the appeal.
Cigarettes - gave up 5 years ago.
Alcohol - gave up 5 years ago.
Prozac - bad side effects and prescribed Paroxetine by doctor, luckily have not needed to
take them for 2 years.
