Have you ever sat on a jury?

No.

Karen, 24
Ames, IA USA

No, but I'd like to be called to sit on one.

Felicia, 38
Lowell, MA USA

I was recently called to jury duty, but was dismissed in the first stage. I didn't even get to the interview process. I'd kind of like to just once though. It might be interesting and educational.

Doug
Lowell, MA

No. I've been on call twice but never had to sit on a jury.

Cathie, 54

yeah for like a half hour until the judge excused me because i am in college. i actually wanted to be there because i knew the defendant. he looked so familiar and i knew i knew him for sure because he kept staring at me and he discreetly pointed me out to his lawyer and then they started talking about me and looking for the next half hour.

i opened my big mouth and asked the judge a question about whether or not i could get a note or something so that i could be excused from my classes. the judge was like oh well if you are in college you might as well be excused because this trial is going to last two months.

i didnt even get to find out what it was about. i meant to go to it once when it started finally but i never got around to it. damn me, for being a procrastinator. i dont even remember his name. i just remember his face from the courtroom. i still want to know but i wouldnt have a clue in how to go about finding out.once again i am screwed from my lack of action.

Ingrid, 22
Stockton, CA USA

No. I'd like to though, so long as it wasn't for anything grisly. I should imagine it could be quite interesting.

Alice, 23

nope

I've been called for jury duty three times, but I've never been selected to hear a case. Once I got as far as the pre-trial examination, but having a book along to read seemed to count against me.

Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA

I've sat on a number of juries. The most interesting were a personal injury suit in which the plaintiff stripped down to a bathing suit to show us his scars, a really nasty drug case, and a
drunk driving suit in which we decided the police officer had been harassing a naive young man.

Jane, 63
West Linn, OR USA

No.

Ryan, 29
Riedlingen GERMANY

yes. It is pretty interesting.

Janet, 46
E. Brunswick, NJ USA

I've been called to jury twice. The first time I was on stand-by and not needed. The second time the defendant failed to show.
