I think it has been the Amazons ever since I was a childhood fan of Wonder Woman!

I would say that would be the myth of Oddyseus in the Oddysey...I love the Iliad, however, that apparently did exist...at least Troy existed...and since the Greeks were always at war, it was possible that the story was based on a real war...

The Oddysey is great...and Oddyseus is very clever...and, of course, there is a lot of symbolism in that story...the Oddysey/Iliad are tied for my favorite books of all time...

That's a good question, but I don't know the answer. I liked my class in Greek mythology in high school, and I liked studying The Odyssey, but it was also fascinating studying Scandanavian gods, and I'm reading a book with some Irish tales thrown in with other information about Ireland. I think some Irish people really love their heroes, and that is very cool.

I'm a little confused. Myths are usually about gods/goddesses or at least demi-gods. I don't remember any demi-goddesses. Perhaps in the female sex, Divinity Will Out.

Athena had no mother--I boggle at Athena. Hera struck me as a very silly woman--until I married. I opt for the Triple Goddess: Maiden, Mother and Crone.

if we are talking something complicated like cartoons and comics then i would have to say he-man and she-rah along with batman, wolverine, blah, blah blah.

stories, would have ot be vampires and werewolves. i have some stories with some favorite characters in ithem. of course beauty and the beast, cinderella, lady and the tramp. all that good stuff.

if we are going to mythology, greek stuff ares, god of war hades, ruler of the underworld, those two because you know they have to be sexy as hell, pure epitome of man. i am in my fully
charged woman phase right now.

i guess on the female side athena, virgin goddess, atalanta, chick who was a great warrior and the fastest woman around but she lost her race to melanion because she was distracted by golden apples he threw in her way. damn materialistic women.

aphrodite of course, goddess of love and stuff. persephone cause her name was cool, queen of the underworld after hades kidnapped her.

i dont know what else. mary poppins
