To
be a good parent you need to be a friend as well as a mother/father. If
you child does not believe she/he can talk to you then this will put a
huge strain on the realationship. I do not think
it is ever okay to hit a child! One because violence begets violence.
Two you should talk to your child not hit them. Three if you feel they
are to young to talk to then they are to young to understand any better
so you are punishing them for not knowing.
