What are your thoughts about taking a walk during a thunderstorm?

It's nice. But you shouldn't do it at a high elevation.

Scary yet exciting. I'd do it.

Keri-Jade, 23

Kinda scarey but kinda cool.

Tp, box of random bathroom related crap, box of makeup, dead bugs

Cindy, 41

I don't like being rained on.

Scary things.

You'll probably get wet....

There is nothing quite like the ferocity of a thunderstorm - particularly at the beach where there is little to obstruct the wind and you can see the lightning from sky to ground clearly. I used to walk
in thunderstorms. I used to open my window and hang my head outside to experience the crackling electricity and the deep booms. Lately, though, I have become painfully aware of Nature's random heart and I tend to keep my head inside.

Under the cabinet? The floor, I suppose. If you're counting our under-the-sink space as cabinets.
If you want to know what's IN that space--cleaner, toilet paper, backup bottles of shampoo/conditioner/saline/etc. . .basically, whatever we will need in the bathroom.

Not in a thunderstorm, but in a torrential downpour, you bet. I also have the habits of not talking on the phone, closing all open doors and windows, and on occasion turning off the television set during a storm with lightning

Felicia, 37
Lowell, MA USA

Well I don't really like getting wet.

I would love to take a walk in a thunderstorm...however, most of the people I surround myself with would convince me not to for safety reasons. Walking in the rain always felt good to me... refreshing and cleansing... but only in the warm or hot weather.

Fisch, 47

I love it. I love the sound, smell, and feel of rain. Thunderstorms are one of those little things that make life so good.

Hardly convenient in daily adult life, but sounds like fun. Just make sure the things around you are taller than you, your shoes have rubber soles, and you're not next to a swimming pool. No huge big deal.

Cristin, 25
Frisco, TX USA

I try not to walk in the rain. I don't like having soggy wet clothes hanging on my body.

Janet, 45
E. Brunswick, NJ USA

I prefer to stay dry and will sit on my porch to watch the storm.

Laura, 38
Lowell, MA USA

I love walking during thunderstorms! The air is heavy and clear, everything is usually quiet...I think it's very peaceful. (although I'll probably change my tune if I ever come close to being struck by lightening!)

Tam

You're kidding, right? Thunder means lightning. Lightning kills. I think I'd enjoy a walk in a gentle rain, but not a thunderstorm.

Judy, 62
Easton, KS USA

I'd walk from the car to the house or the house to the car. I don't like being soggy.

Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA

It sounds unsafe to me. Thunder and lightning always go together, and I wouldn't want to get the shock of my life.

Cathie, 53
Novi, MI USA

I think it is a very bad idea. I once new a man who had been struck by lightening.

Jane, 63

Not a real smart thing to do, but a fun thing to do none-the-less. I enjoy being out in the rain. However, there's a big difference between a "thunderstorm" and a nice steady rain. Thunderstorms mean much lightning and I try not to be out when that's going on. I have no problem being out when it's just a good 'ol rain.

A friend of mine won't take a walk or talk on the phone during a thunderstorm. She usually knows what she's doing so I'm trying to follow her example. With the walk thing it's easy. Who wants to go out in a thunderstorm if they don't have to? That's one of the reasons they invented houses, isn't it? The phone thing is a lot harder and I don't think I'll ever make it.

I'm more likely to go for drives simply to keep my camera dry.
