What plants do you grow in your garden/windowsil?
What garden? And
my windowsills are not suitable.

This year I have
no garden. The lawn has achieved a balance between hardy grass and broad-leafed
weeds and the forest is trying to creep back over the clearing.

A big fat WEED

I have plants all
over my house. Mostly run-of-the-mill plants. I have two very large peace
lilies that survive despite my careless approach. I have a small fig tree
and a large palm tree. Outside I
have pots of petunias and I have two-inch tall flowers that have yet to
bloom planted from seed in a ring around my vegetable garden. In my window
I still have two poinsettias blooming leftover from Christmas There is
something very spiritual about plants and flowers. I try to have cut flowers
in the house most of the year. Right now I have a bunch of roses that
I got on Saturday when we accidentally ran into the lady who runs the
flowershop in my hometown. She was taking these beautiful "blown"
roses home because she wouldn't be able to sell them and she gave them
to us. Serendipity.

We have a compost
pile where things like sunflowers are growing. We don't have a garden
per se, but I've planted iris from my mom, bleeding hearts that were my
husband's grandma's, spirea, scabiosa, wisteria, sweet William, grape
hyacinths and white hyacinths from my mom, pansies and hostas from my
husband's mom, violets from my mom, lilies of the valley from my mom,
poppies, sage, columbine, parsley, and baby's breath. Not all of this
stuff has grown/bloomed, but this is our first spring here.

Unfortunately,
I don't have a garden or a windowsill. I do have several plants in my
apartment though.

I have little purple
flowers called "marine" in my window box... wild flowers outdoors,
and I've just begun an herb garden with parsley, chives and dill.

I have a perennial
garden: day lillies, black-eyed susans, lambs ear, echinacea, chrysanthemum,
cilantro, lily of the valley, a rose bush, mint, bee balm, bleeding hearts,
columbine, iris, honeysuckle, sweet william, lavendar, pansies, violets,
and chives. I am going to plant petunias
in my window boxes today. I'm skipping the vegetable garden this year.
It's been raining for weeks and I haven't gotten any vegetables planted
yet.

In my vegetable
garden I grow tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, celery, leaf lettuce,
pumpkins, zucchini, squash, radishes, onions, beets and carrots. I also
have a "bean house" where I grown climbing green beans. In my
flower garden I have Lupines, Gladiolus, Dahlias, Iris, Lilies, Cone Flowers,
Black Eyed Susans, Shasta Daisies, and a Bleeding Heart. I planted
Sunflowers all along the back of my house, 7 Rose bushes in the front...I
also put in a bunch of
new Lilac bushes and a new flaming orange-flowered Azalea.

My
husband is the gardener. We grow tomatoes, lettuce, cantaloupe, radishes,
peppers, and onions. We also have a flower garden, but too many different
kinds of flowers to list.

My
garden has evolved over the years. I now have mostly perennials. these
come up every year now: I have lilies, daffodils, tulips and crocus early
spring. Then Irises, primroses, fool's gold, phlox, bee balm, hibiscus,
more lilies (quite a variety of them), sweet William, fox glove, columbine, azaleas,
butterfly bushes, clematis. Then I plant some pansies, zinnias, impatiens.
Always something blooming all spring thru fall.

The
silk ones. Those are the only ones that grow around our house. I'm pretty
good at trees and shrubbery outside tho.

We've
got a huge garden, which my dad grows loads in - lots of yummy vegetables,
which I help him eat! I'm less ambitious - I've got a few house plants,
and I'm growing a pot of cress atm, to go in my salad - yum!

That's
really a question for my husband...he's the landscaper. We have a little
bit of everything...some small trees/shrubs, plants, flowers, vegetables,
etc. An eclectic, but beautiful mixture!

I
have burgandy and black tulips out front. In the back it's anyone's guess.
You gotta love Squirls, but they sure can wreck havoc with your plants!
