Where is the most foreign place you have visited?
Belize
Cristin,

Frisco, TX USA
I haven't. I'm
completely comfortable staying in the homeland.
Fisch,
47
Preston, CT USA
I have had disturbing
conversations with a number of native born Americans that are more alien
to me than anything or anyone I've encountered in other countries.
Jill,

My parents' house
post-robbery. No, seriously, Ireland, if you mean "not this country."
I don't know if that's the technical definition of "foreign"
or not, and I'm too tired to look it up.

New Orleans was
pretty crazy, but I think Hawaii is more foreign. Never been in another
country yet, but I'm working on it.
A-Dog,

Eugene, OR USA
The foreign place
I've visited most has been England. The most foreign, meaning different,
to me was probably Italy.
Jane,

West Linn, OR USA
I've been to several
other countries, but the most foreign place I've ever been was at a business
lunch at the Italo-American club on Federal Hill in Providence, RI.

The Sahara Desert

My
husband served in the Army for 15 years and during some of that time we
got the opportunity to live in Germany. That was the greatest experience
of my life and I'll always be grateful to the Army for that - nothing
else, just that. When we lived in Germany, we visited Paris, where my
husband served his mission. Wonderful! I can't say enough about it!
Reba,
57
Gaithersburg, MD USA
I
lived in America for a year when I was 12. Tht was very foreign - although
you expect britain and america to have similar cultures (which they do,
to some extent) they are very different. Complete culture shock!

Mexico
City when I was about 8. I still remember a lot of it. Everybody drove
like maniacs and our cab driver slammed on his brakes and I broke a tooth
on the bar across the back seat. We had dinner with a family my dad did
business with. They had a daughter named Carmen I thought was beautiful
and exotic and a son home from college who was very handsome. At least
that's what I thought at the time.
Judy,
62
Easton, KS USA
I
have gone to the southern Caribbean islands. I guess St. Lucia. Not much
of a traveler.
Janet,
45
E. Brunswick, NJ USA
Hawaii-
That's the only place in the US atleast that has their own language. Does
that count?
Stephanie,

Pittsburg.
That accent is wack. (joking, after three hours I pick it up completly
and unconciously talk just like a local)
