Would
you rather work alone or with others? One of the reasons I love my job is because I have my own
cubicle and it's separate from the rest of the department. I do, however, like to be able
to run into people during the day. I wouldn't want to work completely alone, not as a
steady diet.

Sometimes alone and sometimes w/ others..it
just depends on who the others are and what kind of mood I'm in.

I would much rather work alone than with
others. Oh the limitless things I can accomplish when I am working by myself. If someone
else is working with me, I feel like they are in my way, I have to wait on them to finish
something, they don't work at the same pace, just things like that. My ideal job would be
for someone to give me a days worth of work, and then step back and let me do it.

Depends what I was doing. Alone for some
things.. but I do like having some interaction with others.. so.. I dont know. Maybe alone
for one half the day, with others the other half ;P

I usually perfer working alone,
because that way I can go at my own pace and don't have
to worry about other peoples resposibilities and stuff. It's just easier by myself as far
a projects and things go.
Dianne, 16

Alone for pretty much everything, I think.
I'd rather play with others, but I'd rather work alone.

Definitely with others. I would drive myself
crazy if I didn't have other people around me to contribute ideas or help me work through
something.

w/others but doing my dream job--directing

I LIKE WORKING BY MYSELF ON A JOB AS I DON'T
FEEL LIKE SOMEONE IS WATCHING OVER MY SHOULDER WHICH WOULD MAKE ME FEEL VERY INSECURE. BUT
THEN I ALSO LIKE TO WORK AROUND PEOPLE SO AS TO MEET PEOPLE AND KNOW PEOPLE. BUT I DON'T
LIKE GETTING TOO CLOSE TO PEOPLE I WORK WITH. I HAVE SEEN WHERE SOMETIMES IT CAN CAUSE
PROBLEMS GETTING TO CLOSE.

An ideal job would be a combination
of group work and solitary effort.

I would rather work by myself. You don't
have to put up with co-workers bullshit. I had a job at a bakery working by myself pretty
much and it was great. Of course, when the boss did come around, I couldn't stand her. She
was so 2 faced. Besides that, it was cool.
Jennifer, 19

I'd much rather work with others. Power in
numbers!

Working alone is more my bag...with the
radio in the background...

I am very much a loner - but I enjoy the
group now and then. I could not work alone all the time - but I like to work alone when I
can. So, I guess it is a mix.
Deb
That depends on what you're doing.
But I work with computers. Specifically I provide
technical support, so it would be difficult to work alone. It's also nice to have other
folks around to learn from.

I like a mixture, and as a software
developer, I have the luxury of both being part of my work routine.

Depends what the job is and who the other
people are.

I'd like to think I'd want to work always on
my own, but that is a fantasy often driven by days where I have too much people contact. I
guess I need both people and time to myself.

i work faster and better if i'm alone, but
it's more fun to work w/ other people
Mandi, 16

I prefer to work with others since I
work by myself now but on occasion I do enjoy the company of myself because I seem to get
work done faster that way.
Stephanie, 25

With
others. I mean - with others around. I like to be left alone when I'm working on something
- just - lemme make my plans and get to work - but I like people to be around, for
distraction and company -and to sometimes work together, too. Pretty average answer, I
guess ;-)
no-itsme, 29

That's a tough one. I guess alone. That way
you don't have some wise arse boss.
Jaden, 21
Brampton, Ontario CANADA
Definitely alone. I have the
attention span of a gnat and if I had to work with anyone else I'd get distracted. An
ideal job would be one where I can work alone but have
colleagues to talk to at breaks.
Shanna, 16

Depends what we're talking about.
Karen, 21

I like people but I have never thought that
they liked me. So I'm uncomfortable when I'm forced to work or play with more than one
other person at a time. I DEFINITELY like to work alone.
