How clean and safe is your drinking water?

Well, I assume that it's clean enough... I'm not dead yet!

Jeremy, 14

I've never died from it.

The local propaganda tells me that the local drinking water is very clean and safe. I haven't come down with dysentery or cholera lately, so I guess it's true.

Laura, 36

I live in a rural area and our well water is tested regularly.

It's clear. I haven't died from it. Beyond that I prefer not to think about it.

My drinking water tests out as being extremely good and safe, though it doesn't have the greatest flavor in the world. I preferred NYC water for flavor.

Jane, 60

According to reports it's some of the cleanest in the country but we still filter it at home.

Alias Irrelevante

have no idea. I don't drink it though.

Well assuming by "clearn" you mean clean, I would say very! My dad works at the water plant, so I know our water is safe.

mY DRINKING WATER IS NOT REAL CLEAR AS THERE IS IRON AND SULPHUR. YOU SEE WE HAVE WELL WATER. WHEN WE FIRST MOVED HERE 25 YEARS AGO WE ONLY NEEDED A SOFTENER AND SO THEREFORE COULD NOT DRINK IT BECAUSE OF THE SALT. IN 1982 THEY DRILLED A GAS WELL WITHIN A FEW FEET OF OUR WELL AND OUR WATER HAS GOTTEN WORSE SINCE. I CONTACTED THE STATED BUT THEY SAID THEY COULD DO NOTHING. THEREFORE WE BUY OUR DRINKING WATER. THAT IS THE ONE THINK I MISS ABOUT THE CITY, GOOD  DRINKING AND WASHING WATER FOR CLOTHES.

I drink arrowhead, and it's pretty safe. Sometimes I drink from the tap. I don't know if it's safe, but I've never gotten sick. I heard once that L.A. tap water got an award for the best-tasting tap water in the country for something like that.

Eric, 19

Our tap water has actually become a little murky in the last few months-so we've started drinking purified bottled water.

My drinking water is 99.9% clean - at least that's what it says on the label.

Reba, 51

My drinking water is quite fine. I'm still alive to write about it...and it even tastes pretty good, so I'm not concerned.

its not!! lol first of all it tastes funny, like flat water. second of all, in the pond where they get it out of, once a pipe burst and raw sewage was floating around for a while. third of all, in another pond (the back-up pond where they get the water supply), they have signs posted not to go swimming, becuz if you do you'll get this crazy rash. there have also been rumors of 3-eyed fish in weymouth water but no one has quite confirmed that yet ;)

Dunno. I drink it and haven't died yet, so it must be alright. ;)

Talia, 23

I dunno really. I live a big city so I assume that the drinking water is fine. But if it is unsafe, I dont know about it yet and it hasn't had any bad effects.

Stephanie, 25
TX  USA

I dread to think how many chemicals are in it, but it doesn't seem to be doing me any harm.

Shanna, 16

(Lots of typos in these questions lately!) I actually ave no idea. I don't think about it much. We used to have water delivered, but we don't anymore. It doesn't really matter to me - I haven't died yet, so I'm okay with it.

etoile, 20

I hope it's clean. There's enough chlorine in it.

Jennifer, 19

It's a lot cleaner than the well water we used to get

We've had it tested many times, and they say it's safe, but...we just drink bottled water. And I even sometimes wonder about that. Especially since I turn out to be allergic to Floride which is suppost to help you and noty harm you and is an additive in nearly every water system.

Jaden, 21
Brampton, Ontario  CANADA

we have some of the best drinking water in the world. it's safe to drink from the tap.

Becky, 16

Haven't gotten around to testing it. Though water in Lowell has been rated some of the best in the state

Felicia, 35

I don't really want to know! I hate when they come out with those studies that tells you all the terrible things in your water, but everywhere you go there's going to be at least one or two things in the water that are harmful. It's just making sure that there's not too much of it!
