What is your favorite bar?

My favourite chocolate bar is a flake.  But... my favourite pub (which is, I suspect what you're on about is the Old Market - the bar staff are friendly, the juke box has songs I like on it, and they do good coffee for when I'm driving, and cocktails and absynth for when I'm not :)

The answer to that question changes every 2 weeks. This week it is this cool little place called Carreta where all the locals do karaoke. It is in Curridabat, just outside of San Jose, Costa Rica. That is where I am right now, I just got here a couple of days ago and I am staying for 5 months to study abroad.

I would say Canterbury Bankstown Tennis and Bowling Club at Punchbowl in Sydney, Australia. It's a local club and I enjoy having a few quiet ones there. When in Sydney, you should try and make it there.

my favourite bar is foobar in melbourne australia (where i live). it  started up in december 2001 by a couple who became drinking buddies at their old place of work. he is a russian chef (ie. a chef who is russian), she was floor staff there. both have years of experience and have a place where everyone who stops by becomes a regular. i walked in for coffee with a friend. he spilt his coffee on himself, and the owner laughed, walked off, and came back with a bib!!!! we laughed ourselves stupid, and i knew it was the place for me... i had my 21st b'day party there, and these days i party with the staff at their homes and meet them outside of work for coffee or lunch. it's a great feeling. many's the time at 4am that i've said, "i don't want to go home, nikki," and she's walked off and come back with a blanket: i end up sleeping the night on the lounge out the front, next to their enormous black dog; the friendliest dog in the world, who i love and who loves everyone! it's such a warm   feeling having people who're almost an extended family. i can rock up at any time and there's waves "hello!" from staff and regulars alike... great place.

When I lived in Tempe, AZ, I frequented a little hole in the wall called "Brewski's". Now, in KC, I prefer a sports bar that we go to called "Arizona's".

I like Twix bars. Of course, if you mean establishments for the consumption of alcoholic beverages, there is a little pub on Blackheath, in London, of which I am very fond.

Charlie's in Somers Point, NJ. Good food, good atmosphere, and beer :0)

I pretty much stopped drinking (still do now and then but I don't have planned bar nights anymore) so I'm no longer the authority on this matter that I once was. The Olde Worthen in Lowell was good up until the new management and I kind of like the Caddy in Providence which is a BYOB

A Twirl bar. Flaky chocolate inside smooth chocolate.

I'd have to say, Vitales, it serves the best thin crust pizza and Sam Adams on tap.

I don't really have one. When I was in NYC I use to hang out at an Irish pub on 79th off Broadway.

I do not know, but it does remind me of something that happened in school....I was studying 24-7 for an exam, I lived in the library, studying for a final exam...when I got them, oh no!...My mind dream blank...I could think of nothing, even though I knew the material backs and forwards...I went into a brain freeze, and had to BS my way through the exam...I was so depressed, I went out boozing with friends, had 10 beers, and a few powerful mixed drinks...I have never been so drunk...I actually fell down at the bar while carrying drinks to my friends, although I did not drop the drinks...I was always proud of that....on the way to my dorm, they had to pull over three times, so I could puke...ah, the joy of college....As Homer J. Simpson would say, 'To alcohol, the cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems.'

I havent been to a bar in ages! Back in the "day", though, I guess I would have to say I enjoyed Metropol, The Upstage, Pegasus and Zack's 5'th Avenue...all clubs in the Pittsburgh area.

I like dives the best--no pretentions, and usually I don't know anyone there. THere is a really good sportsbar near me, though, that has good drink deals, and a lot of my friends go there. Not only that, but they serve good food. If you're in the Columbia area of the city, check out Amcaf.

One that has good drinks at great prices, and karaoke. The given here, is that my friends all have to know where it is, and hang out there on a regular basis.
