What is your fondest wedding memory? (Here's to you Shayna & Jaggar)
After my husband
and I got married. We went back to his rented house 0 which was now my
home too. He had a bottle of champagne and Jorma Kaukonen's Quah album
on the turntable and played Genesis - which was a song of ours. I burst
into tears.

Of my wedding?
The whole thing, I guess. We went to a state park and got married and
then our witnesses took us to Bonanza in Des Moines for lunch.

I threw my bridal
bouquet backwards up over my head, and when I turned around, my sister
had it. We ran to each other and hugged.

the pictures could I have ever been so thin and so young?

I was about 8 at
the last wedding I attended, so I don't really remember. A cousin in New
Zealand is getting married next year, though, so that'll be quite memorable
if I go.

Other than my own...
I was 8 years old when my oldest brother married. I was allowed to go
to the reception and shortly after dinner, I was asked to go with my brother
and his wife where we had out picture taken near a bridge that went over
a stream of water inside the restaurant (pretty cool for an 8 year old).
When we came back from the picture taking, everyone was eating icky wedding
cake, but I had a fancy dish of ice cream with whipped cream and a cherry
on top. And the waiter kept bringing me Shirley Temples. I felt so grown
up drinking cocktails with all the adults.

We are approaching
our second wedding anniversary in September and there are too many to
single out one fondest memory. But I will share a story of love. My best
friend, Ellen, was my matron of honor. She volunteered to do the flowers
for my wedding too. We were to be married on Sept. 22, 2001. Along came
Sept. 11, 2001, and suddenly no planes were bringing stargazer lilies
from Holland. We made alternate plans, but this was a blow to me because
the one
thing I could always picture about my wedding was me carrying a bouquet
of stargazer lilies. The day before the wedding we went to the florist
to get the flowers and she greeted us with a twinkle in her eye. Somehow
she managed to get a dozen stargazers. The bad news is that they were
still largely buds. Ellen stayed up practically all night coxing those
flowers with warm water and a blow dryer and managed to get enough to
bloom to make the most beautiful bouquet I have ever seen. I've got a
million stories just as great. It was a wonderful wedding.

I guess seeing
my little sister get married. I really don't like weddings, tho.

That's too personal!
But I treasure the moment of repeating our vows with my uncle officiating.

Since I'm not married
myself, I would say the week I spend working with my sister to prepare
of her wedding. I was one of the most enjoyable family times I have ever
had.

My fondest wedding
memory is watching my friend, Rosemary, get married. She's the first in
her family to 'get hitched.' Everyone so far has been either a nun or
just stayed single (no one asked them).
