If your supervisor asked you if you liked your job, how would you answer?

Things are going quite well at work lately. I've been given some new responsibilities and I no longer have to work in the dreaded file room. If my supervisor were to ask me, I could truthfully say I'm quite content with my job.

Reba, 57
Gaithersburg, MD USA

I'd probably say "yes."

Tam

I'd tell them for the most part, I do like my job, but there are some things that could use a changing.

Ryan, 29
Riedlingen GERMANY

"Its fine."

Talia, 25
Tallahassee, FL USA

I would honestly tell her that I thoroughly enjoy every single aspect of my work, but I just don't think they pay us quite enough money ~ not for all the dedication shown by the staff.

Fisch, 47
Preston, CT USA

I'd say yes.

Cathie, 53
Novi, MI USA

It's enough to "bide my time". I enjoy some of my co-workers and don't mind the work load. It's the
politics I can't stand.

Stephanie, 27
TX USA

As just-a-housewife my job is my life. If I'm not contented, this is probably my own fault.

Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA

I'm between contracts at the moment, but on my last one the answer would have been "very much." It was an interesting project and most of the people I worked with were cooperative.

Jane, 63
West Linn, OR USA

I would say yes--but then, we've already established that I like working where I do and my bosses like having me there.

Karen, 23
Ames, IA USA

I love my job.

Karen, 23
Ames, IA USA

This past year I told her all the time that I was miserable...I even told the Superintendent that, but it didn't make much of a difference! They just kept saying wait until next year, it'll get better. We'll
see...they better be right!

Tracy, 24
Ocean City, NJ USA

So far, so good. :)

Cristin, 25
Frisco, TX USA

I would tell my supervisor yes. However, truth be told this job - which is only about 10 months old - is well-paying and not over-stressful, but I don't carry a passion for it that I did with my last job.
Sometimes I miss that. But some days it is wonderful to walk out the door and leave my job at work. As the editor of a newspaper, I couldn't do that. If a pipe burst, if it snowed, if the press went
down...I was the editor 24/7. And it was WHO I was too. Now, I am doing a better job of letting that go and reidentifying myself as a wife and stepmom and plain ole community member.

Cindy, 41
VA USA

It's not my dream job, but I like the independence I get by being a driver.

Melodi, 19
Gahanna, OH USA

I'd say it's boring as hell, but I need the money so I don't care.

A-Dog, 20
Eugene, OR USA

I'd say that I feel well paid, moderately challenged and working in a field and community I feel very committed to.

Felicia, 37
Lowell, MA USA

I truly enjoy what I do for a living. I great satisfaction out of creating some artwork that is pleasing, especially if it is something "corporate". All the better if I can make it interesting or easy on the eyes. Sometimes the office politics drive me crazy. But I willingly go to work.

Janet, 45
E. Brunswick, NJ USA

I LOVE IT! (and it's the truth)

Laura, 38
Lowell, MA USA

I honestly do like my job so this really wouldn't be that tough of a situation.
