What do you think about nude beaches?

I think they're wonderful because people can get full tans without having bikini-line "white areas", and it's also more comfortable because there are no wet bathing suits to dry off after the fact.

i think i'd go if i knew where one was.

What's to think? They're GREAT!

I think they're beaches where naked people spend time.

I wouldn't bask on a nude beach--but I wouldn't be outraged if other people wanted to bask without bathing suits.

They are fine for those who want to use them.

I don't really think anything about them. Some people enjoy being "in the buff" and I'm glad there are places where they can shed their clothes and feel free. Me, I'll stay trapped.

I applaud people with enough self confidence to visit them and bare all. I haven't got nearly enough pride in my appearance to visit one.

They don't bother me at all. But that's probably because I don't go to them. It's like TV. If you don't like what they're airing, change the channel or shut it off. If nude beaches enrage you, don't go.

I wouldn't particularly be interested in participating in or viewing what goes on at a nude beach, but I have nothing against them. To each his own, I feel.

Never gave them much thought, until I heard an NPR piece on them. Made me think about how much we have equated nakedness with sex as opposed to a natural way of being. Almost made me want to check one out. Doubt I'd have the courage to do so.

I think that would take the fun out of going to the beach. I mean sand gets everywhere when you are clothed.

Cindy, 41

It's all good for people who can handle it. This doesn't include me, I don't think.

Cristin, 25

Not much. Think of the sunburn possibilities.

Cathie, 53

It's fine with me. I would just worry about sand in my butt crack.

I don't think much one way or the other. While I was in Europe, people chose how much or how little of their bodies they wanted to expose while on the beach and many people chose to bare all. The novelty wore off very quickly.

Laura, 38

We go to them now and then, strictly a comfort thing.

Alias Irrelevante

If you're daring enough....go....they're fun! But beware, its not like they are all hot bodies everywhere. Expect alot of old saggy people and ugly people too!

Stephanie, 27

I think: flaunt it if ya got it. I ain't got it (yet), so I'll stick to regular beaches, thank you very much.

Unfortunately not everyone looks like characters on Baywatch. I think people should keep their clothes on in public. Call me old fashioned.

When my daughter was about 4 years old, my sister-in-law and I went to the beach. Since we wanted to go to a new section of the shore, we just looked for lifeguards and bathrooms. We went onto the beach and yes, it was a nude beach. I really didn't want to be on this section, there was nothing posted and I certainly didn't want to bring a four year old. I don't care if there are nude, but you won't see me there.

I landed a hang glider twice on one. It was to the left of take off and if a glider didn't soar almost immedietely you had to set up a landing approach to get down before an outcrop of rock. Nudists were a secondary consideration
