Excepting a
computer, what was the last tool you used?I often use Anthony as a swashbuckling wombat. Does that
count? En garde!

I just finished painting the
downstairs of my home. So, I was using a spackle knife
(my hubby does the sheet rock repairs), paint brush, then I took the old mats off
the basement stairs and scraped the old glue off and sanded and painted them, and using a
staple gun put down a new

A pair of hand shears, to trim the Wisteria

Depends on how you define tool. Broad
definition would probably include TV or telephone. Narrower would be broom. Narrower yet,
screwdriver.
Felicia, 34
Somerville, MA
The rub, for me, is the word
"tool." Uh. . . the telephone, when I talked to my friend George? My VCR when I
was checking out last night's Big Brother tape? My bed
when I passed out? Take your choice. . . I use my box cutter, which is by most definitions
a definite, indisputable "tool," every night at Wal-Mart to slice open cartons
of merchandise before it gets stocked on shelves. .

If you are talking electronic
tools...the phone. If you are talking manual tools...a Philips head screwdriver.
Tracy, 24

Probably an inclined plane. I turned the
kitchen tap on for water to take my pills and I think those handles are threaded. A screw
is a development of the inclined plane.

A pair of pliers to help by wife
hang some curtain rods.
Kevin, 33

Is a broom a tool? If not then
scissors, and if they aren't either then ...a screwdriver!
Jami, 27

My fingers, probably.
Karen, 20

It was a pair of jewelry pliers.

If my girlfriend asked that I'd respond with
the obvious joke in my redneck trucker cartoon voice (Gotcher favoreete tool ry here
babay, oh ye-uh, oh ye-uh, uh huh, you know eet babay). The straight answer would be a
screw driver and socket wrench. I was assembling swing sets yesterday.

The screwdriver I used to pry it
open, of course!
Firelady, 22

I suppose that would be a screwdriver, when
I unsuccessfully tried to open up something.

Either a screwdriver or a hemostat.
Anthony, 25
Baton Rouge, LA
A hammer
-- I put a nail in the wall in my bathroom last night to hang my hand mirror on.
Melodi, 19

Manual tool = Garden shears
Power tool = Drill (I don't suppose a washing machine counts?)

My car....or my cell phone in my car. I
guess it's a chicken or the egg situation.

A screwdriver. ps. I really don't see how a
compiter IS a tool. If it's a tool, isn't a hearing aid or a car a tool in the same way?

Does a
Playstation count? If so, then that.
