What is hell
like?hell is a place without raspberry jello
Jaden, 21

Hell is, for me, believing in my own doubts
about my abilities and the potential for me to move forward and progress emotionally,
intellectually and spiritually.. . . .I don't believe in an actual, physical H, E, double
hockey sticks place that bad peole go to after they die. . . Hell is right here,

Hell is a place where no one in his
right mind would ever choose to go; but, millions and millions of people make the choice
to go there every day. There is a remedy, but, they will not accept that choice. It is so simple. Just surrender yourself to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Accept his sacrifice of His own Holy Blood, to wash away your sins and be saved
eternally. He is the Way, The Truth and The Life. No other way is acceptable to a just ans
Holy God. Won`t you give your heart to Him this very day?

If the Biblical hell exists I'd rather be
there than anywhere near the sick psycho who allows it to exist. But since I doubt that it
does I'll say we all have our own personal dreaded nightmares which could become our
hells, things like being stuck in an elevator at a chili cook-off

Just another day in my life, lately. But
hey--I'M STILL HANGIN' IN THERE!

Most people would consider hell to be really
hot with little red-devils holding pitchforks. Personally, I think hell is the opposite of
what you'd enjoyed in life.

Hell is a place in eternity where God's
presence is absent from!

I'm not sure I'd really want to
think about that. But the image I've had in my head since I was younger, is fire...and
burning forever, being whipped and teased and tortured. I don't think anyone deserves that, it seems so unrealistic to me.

I think of hell as a hot place where all the
evil people are finally punished for what they did, and they will suffer for eternity. I
think theylay around in pools of boiling lava, or do some chore that's impossible to do.
Guess I'll find out when i get there.

Probably as it is portrayed on tv - vast
canyons of red rock, fires in the background, lava all over the place, all sorts of
ghoulish creatures deriving great pleasure from inflicting pain on others. I admit it, I
don't have an awful lot of imagination.

If it exists, it is a place filled with
dissatisfied souls, always seeking what isn't there.

Hell for me would be sort of like Sartre's
"No Exit" a room full of people talking incessantly and annoyingly about a range
of topics I have not interest in for eternity.

Wouldn't know. Haven't been there.
Is there really a hell anyway. Falls under the category
of I'm not going to pretend to know because that is beyond the realm of possible
knowledge.
Firelady, 22

I don't know, I've never been there and
never will be.

My metaphorical hell would be total
isolation from everything except complete recall of my errors and a complete knowledge of
the way my errors had damaged other people.

I think I've answered this before.....A Day
in Hell: playing golf in Hilton Head in July's heat & humidity, getting a bikini wax,
and doing an hour of step aerobics! On a serious note, I really have no idea and I don't
like thinking about it!

anything and comprehending it forever. Z

Complete solitude for hundreds of years,
with only your mistakes to keep you company. Until, one day when God comes to get you, and
asks if your ready to try and finally get it right.
Pamela, 39

I imagine Hell to be boredom and separation
and loneliness and never-ending sensory deprivation.
Jesse, 24
Bowie, MD
Hell is freezing cold, snow up to
your eyeballs, frozen nose hairs and eyebrows, feet that glide out of control on the ice,
grey skies.. in a town whose mental well being is ruled by the wins and losses of a
football team (think: "Buffalo 66")
Tina, 31

Hell is likely everyone's own
worst personal fear, tampered by the degree of positivity which was output in your human
life.
Megan, 24
Chicago, IL
I asked my priest that when I was a little
kid. He told me it was a cold place completely devoid of God's love and light. I thought
that was a really interesting theory. I'd go with either that or Gary Larson's (the Far
Side guy) several theories about math word problems,

I believe
GOD is all loving, and even though someone may do wrong on Earth, they will be brought to
Heaven. If we are all son's and daughter's of GOD, he will want all of us with him. I
don't believe there is a Hell.
Kevin, 33

I'm not sure whether i believe in hell...but
i picture it to be something like from the movie 'What dreams may come' starring Robin
Williams

I don't
believe in Hell because I don't believe in Heaven or God.
Nikki, 27

I don't believe in hell. As a person
interested in theology, though, I describe it as a mythical place entrenched in fire where
"heathens" burn eternally in their afterlife for "sins" commited on
earth (a sin is defined as something a person does that is not in compliance with
religious laws). It has its roots in Christianity and is often employed today by
religious fundamentalists who use it as a scare tactic in an attempt to act as
missionairies.
