What flower reminds you of your mother?

My Mom always had African Violets on the window sill in the kitchen, but Laura was the one who could make them bloom.

Nothin', my mom hates flowers. But daphadils remind me of my friend Linda's mom.

Peonies remind me of my mom. She grew lots of flowers in our backyard, but the peonies stand out in my mind becausee they were in big tall clumps right by the back door.

Lilacs remind me of my Mom. We had a bush growing outside our window growing up and the smell of lilacs take me back.

All the flowers we had when I was growing up, I guess. And clematis, because she wants to grow that on her fence. And daisies, because my father was so convinced daisies were her favorite flower that he told the flower shop and they changed all the flower orders for her to make sure she only got daisies (the irony being that she's allergic to daisies). And
white iris, because she has (or had) one that came from her grandma's bulbs.

My mother was a matter-of-fact gardener where flowers were concerned. She was much more enthusiastic about growing vegetables. Her favorite crops were tomatoes for the taste,
asparagus to save the expense, green onions for an early taste of springtime and spaghetti squash as a conversation piece.

Lilacs and daffodills. She loved the flowers of spring.
