The first person I remember dieing was a friend of the family through church, an older step-brother of one of my friends. I was about 10 or 12. It was a suicide, I think he was in his early 20's.

I remembr when I was about six realizing for the first time the people die from a television program I was watching. The first person I knew that died was a kid in my 4th grade class who had a heart problem and collapsed during gym class. I remember being so uncomfortable that I could refrane from laughing nervously during his wake.

When I was aound 5 years old, our pet rabbit died and then Mrs. McCarthy, the neighbor lady up the street died. I was very sad and told my mother that "all the people I love die". So when my cousin Eddy died shortly after that, she didn't tell me! I learned about it a few years later and was hurt and confused that she didn't tell me. Eddy was at least 15 years older than me and was in the military so I didn't see him alot. But he always played with me when he visited. I adored him. He's someone I'd love to see again.
