No, but I intend to some time in my twenties.

Aly, 17
Cardiff UK

no, but i would love to sometime

Cara, 18
Valparasio, IN USA

Of course, I have been two Alaska twice...so the answer is yes, natch...it was totally awesome I
reckon...I suppose it depends on what you mean by backpacking, however, based on my definition, I would say yes...it was da bomb...

Frodo, 31
Middle Earth

No. I'm not a couch potato, but that's one activity that never appealed to me.

Cathie, 53
Novi, MI USA

Nope, but I've gone camping lots. :)

Melodi, 19
Gahanna, OH USA

No, but I've always wanted to.

Reba, 57
Gaithersburg, MD USA

no

Cindy, 41
VA USA

Sure. Same day I had a romantic candle-lit dinner and took a moonlit walk on the beach. (if anyone's ever read a personal ad...this should look familiar) I don't backpack, it sounds too much like work for me.

Fisch, 47
Preston, CT USA

Yes. Back in the early '50's I hiked a 100 mile stretch of the Appalachian Trail through Pennsylvania and met Granny Gannet, a woman in her 70's who had hiked the whole trail, Maine to Georgia and Georgia to Maine several times.

Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA

No.

Judy, 62
Easton, KS USA

Quite a lot, althought not as much as I would have liked in the last few years. I even did a two week trek through the Masai Mara in Kenya. It is an excellent way to be active without feeling like you are doing anything boring.

Felicia, 37
Lowell, MA USA

No. My idea of roughing it is getting room service at the Radisson hotel.

Laura, 38
Lowell, MA USA

I'd say the closest i've been is taking a backpack full of cheap beer and walking down to the university campus with some friends. It turns out that it's a great way to meet shady people. Not to mention police.

A-Dog, 20
Eugene, OR USA

Nope.

Janet, 45
E. Brunswick, NJ USA

No way.

Keri-Jade, 23
Brampton, Ontario CANADA

Sort of.

Karen, 23
Ames, IA USA

A few times about 10 years ago. In the past few years I've done about a dozen or so day hikes with a small pack but I don't think that counts.

Alias Irrelevante

I've done a few backpack trips here and there, mostly in Europe.

Ryan, 29
Morton, IL USA

yes, as a child. I plan to go on our Honeymoon...but not likely.

Stephanie, 25
TX USA

Yes. I have gone with my son's boyscout troop and with class trips and with the girl scouts. There is nothing like young kids complaining that they can't do it to make you tell them that you are so much older than them and you are doing the hike. It makes me feel like I 'm not that out of
shape.

KarenNJ, 25
Milltown, NJ USA

A little for wekendcamping, but definitely going to this summer in Africa! Can't wait!!

Tracy, 24
Ocean City, NJ USA

Yes, quite often in fact. I've backpacked a good portion of the Appalachian trail, some trails at Arcadia National Park, Baxter State Park, the White Mountains and several other less known trails.
