Have
you ever worn braces for your teeth? No, but I need to get that done!
Melodi, 19
Hlliard, OH
USA
Yes, for three long years between the ages
of 12 and 15 to correct a crossbite.
Jill, 60
Saylorsburg, PA USA
Nope, I've been blessed with strong,
straight teeth.
Laura, 35
Lowell, MA
USA
Nope.
Karen, 21
Marshelltown/Ames, IA USA
Yup! About two and a half to three
years. The sad part is that I never wore my retainer
and now my teeth have moved so I'm looking at spending the $ all over again to fix them.
Luckily it's just the bottom few in the front. Maybe I won't have to get braces
again....maybe I'll WEAR the retainer this time!!
Tracy, 24
Ocean City, NJ USA
No, I escaped that form of torture.
Jane, 60
West Linn, OR
USA
Nope. Never had a cavity either.
Firelady, 23
Dallas, TX
USA
*sigh*... I'll be getting them soon. I guess
it's not really that big of a deal (everyone has them @ this age) but sometimes I'm really
self-consciousabout myself... (who isn't nowadays?) ... o well, it's a small price to pay
for str8 teeth...
Jeremy, 13
Highlands Ranch, CO USA
Yup. For five years. I had the most
horrendous buck teeth. I hated it at the time, but I am so happy my parents made the
investment.
Felicia, 34
Lowell, MA
USA
No, but I had a retainer in 2nd
grade. That was pretty young for a retainer so I thought I was pretty cool. About 6 months
after I got it, my brother stepped on it and broke it! The orthodontist never replaced it.
I guess my teeth were straight enough by that point.
Susan, 32
Chicago, IL
USA
Yes, for two long years and it was horrid.
But I guess it was worth it, I am not a snaggletooth any more.
Maggie, 20
Sandwich, IL
USA
No.
Fisch, 45
Preston, CT
USA
I was supposed to, and I had the spacers in,
but I couldn't handle the plaster castmaking so they never finished it.
etoile, 19
Washington, DC USA
Yes, for 4 years & I really hated it at
the time, but now that I'm older, I'm so happy my parents did that for me!
Heidi, 26
Fort Madison, IA USA
i'm wearing them right now, argh,
how i loathe them
Chris2, 15
Providence, RI USA
Yes, and it is not a pleasant experience!
Sarah S., 17
Ithaca, NY
USA
Nope. Never.
A-Dog, 18
McMinnville, OR USA
Yes; for four years. Then a retainer for
another two years. After that, we realized that my orthodontist had started going a little
funny, shall we say, and my mother took me to another orthodontist, we got a second
opinion, and I was released from all orthodontia.
Kim, 30
New York, NY
USA
No I have not.
Stephanie, 25
TX USA
chris stayed over last night--he
found $38 by a pay phone, so he took me "in"--we went to the grocery store and
the video place for dinner and a movie at my place. on the way back to my place, i found a candle, for romance, but we never burned it. it was
nice--he cooked my steak and green beans and we watched the cell and bloodsucking freaks.
today, after i volunteered at a save the gardens of the lower east side costume making
workshop for a parade at the end of this month, we hung out for a little while. then he
went to the bar and i went home and called chas. one of his roommates was waiting for a
long distance call, so i'm going to call him back in a little while. but, that's it for
today!
Trisha, 19
New York, NY
USA
Negative.
Alias Irrelevante
No, I have not. As a kid growing up, we did
not even go to the dentist as my dad did not have dental coverage and my folks could not
afford it. But as an adult, I have had the privilege of paying for braces on my son's
teeth.
Janet, 42
E. Brunswick, NJ USA
I wore braces from 7th to 11th grade.
Kevin2, 18
Bakersfield, CA USA
Yes. When I was in middle school and
high school. And it was so painful. I hated them.
Everytime I went to the dentist for a check-up, I knew I would soon be in pain. I was
soooo glad the day they took them off. I was free! Free from the metal that enslaved my
teeth!
Lisa J., 22
TN USA
top and bottom for two years, followed by a
set of retainers
Gemma Lynn
Ughhhh i have had the worst experiences ever
when it comes to orthodontic gear!! i wore a retainer for all of second grade, a headgear
for a year and a half starting in the third grade (only at nighttime thankfully), braces
for three years (from third grade until sixth grade), and two retainers for a year
afterwards. thank God thats all over with, thats nothing I'd ever want to repeat.
Karen2, 15
Boston, MA
USA
Yes I wore braces for about a year and a
half and hated every minute of it.
Sarah J.
Jones, MO USA
Yes, I wore braces from 8th to 10th grade.
Eric, 18
Beverly Hills, CA USA
yeah three years ago and i was 13
Savannah
No but I wore a retainer for 8 months in the
third grade. That combined with a hair wave accident, large red glasses, and a chubby body
made for an UGLY kid. Poor me.
Amy, 24
New Orleans, LA USA
I wore braces from 7th to 11th grade.
