What would you put on your gravestone?

She made a difference.
(this perhaps chiseled into some useful tool like a shovel or a hammer).

As for my remains, I've recently heard about a new concept called green cemetaries where your body is left to decompose naturally (wrapped simply in a shroud in a shallow grave), letting its nutrients back into the earth. However gross this may seem, I kinda like that idea.

I'm 17, I haven't thought that far ahead yet.

I'd prefer not to have a gravestone and not to be buried in a cemetery. "Fools' names and fools' faces are often seen in public places." I'd far rather be cremated and scattered--or cremated and seasoned in a compost pit.

I really don't want a gravestone, per se. I want to be cremated and I want my remains disposed of in the middle of a field with no signifigance or sentimental connection to anyone I love. Either that, or even better, down a toilet somewhere, anywhere. . .

If the question is what epitaph would I want to be remembered by, hmmmm. . maybe something like "he kept me amused occasionally" or "at least he didn't become a burden or get in the way too much".

In an effort to partially thwart the funeral director mafia, I'll probably be cremated but If I have a gravestone, I'd probably shoot for something to amuse any visitors. This is tricky as jokes tend to get stale with repiition. Maybe something like:

"Go ahead, let the dog pee there, It doesn't bug me now."

I don't plan to have a gravestone. I want to be cremated and have my ashes scattered over some wilderness area. It's just my way of giving something back to the land that sustained me. I don't want to take up space after I'm dead.

I don't know. I'd be dead. It would probably say "RIP Karen" or something like that.

I don't think I'd want a grave stone. I'd rather be cremated and my ashes put in the mulch pile. I'd rather live on in the memories of my children and people I know with the memory that I made a positive impact in their lives.

this one's easy (since I wish to be cremated & skattered)( where, I'm not quite sure yet).

I don't want a gravestone. I want a nice comfy stone bench of some kind under a nice tree with a beautiful view, like the one the author suggests in those books about all I ever needed to know I learned in Kindergarten. Somewhere where people can sit down, relax,  have a pleasant chat and they don't even know I am there. I would haunt it too and listen in on people's conversations about their lives.

First off, I'm going to be set on fire when I croak. I would like people to say that I am creative, a good person, a writer, love animals, don't judge people, and am loyal to those I trust.

Well, first I should probably focus on figuring out what to put on my father's tombstone, but on mine it's going to read, "Thanks for stopping by."
