How often do you visit relatives?
Being on a different continent, not that often.
about once a year or so
Most of my out-of-town relatives live on the east coast and I try to see them every couple of years. My daughter lives near me and I visit her and her family every few days.
I check in on my mom about once a month or so and see my younger brother about every two months. My older brother lives 400 miles west but he's moving back for a little while. Everybody else I see randomly.
I see my in-town relatives at least once every couple of months. When my nieces or nephews have swim meets or basketball games, it can be as often as every week during their sports seasons. The last time I saw the out-of-towners on my Mom's side was at a reunion about six years ago, and most of the old folks didn't come. I haven't seen most of them since the last reunion before that, about 16 years ago. My Dad is an only child with most of his relatives still in China, so I met only a few of them 4 years ago.
Rarely, but joyfully--at least on my side of the family.
I visit my mom and Aunt Margaret about 5 or six times a year. I see my siblings at least once a year (either they travel north or I travel south to see them).
All the time. I see my one sister every week. My other sister lives further away so we talk weekly. I see my one brother couple of times a month. My other brother- sporadically. I see my nieces and nephews frequently.
I visit my siblings about 4 times a year. My in-laws I visit about 2 times a year. My husband usually has an additional visit to his mother in the year without me.
Hmmm...quite often, I suppose. At least once a week.
Now that we're many hours away...at holidays and once every couple of months for a weekend.
Some major hollidays. Rarely in between. Always in the summer.
