Is there a food or dish you detested as a child that you like as an adult?
No, pretty much
the same.

There were a lot
of veggies that I wouldn't eat as a child and now I do (broccoli, asparagus,
peppers, onions), but there are still some that I don't eat. I guess you
can't like everything!

when I was younger,
I'd have given up and homemade meal for a burger and fries from some fast
food joint. Now I work at Burger king and every time I eat some real home
cooked delight I die and am reborn. God damn, real food sounds great right
now.

I'd have to say
most vegetables. My mother bought canned vegetables and canned peas have
to be the worst. Fresh or frozen peas are OK, which I never had until
I got married and my husband ate them.

Lobster. It looked
really weird, so I wouldn't touch it. Now I love it.

Lasagna.

My mother was wise
enough not to allow us to make fetishes of our food dislikes. We didn't
have to eat it--but we weren't allowed to complain. Consequently I don't
remember my childish dislikes.

Mushrooms. I hated
them as a child but just love them now... raw in salads and cooked on
a steak or burger.. even in soup or stew. Just love em!

As a child and
adult I never would eat fish. I didn't like vegtables. Didn't care for
fruit. As an mature adult I like all of it.

Several vegetables,
like broccoli and salad, although I'm still not a big veggie eater.

Actually, most
everything that I detested as a child I now detest as an adult. My mom
loved cooking for me.

I detested liver
as a child. When I became and adult I discovered that there were more
sophisticated preparations of liver that I enjoyed, as they did not have
the unpleasant texture I associated with it.

Squash and amazingly
popcorn which is now my most favorite food.

Most vegetables.
I still don't like pancakes all that much.

The only foods
I can think of that I detested are liver, and rutabagas. I still detest
liver but I can now stomach rutabagas. I don't like it much though.

Salad
Dressing - any kind. When I was younger, I always thought it was gross
because of it's strange smell. Then, when I was 24, I tried it for the
first time and loved it. I still haven't tried all of them, but I like
most of them that I have tried. In fact, I love Italian and Ranch.

Not
really. I was mostly afraid to try new foods as a kid; I think I would
have liked some of them (like lemon pepper chicken) if I tried them. There
were some liquids (plain milk, water) that I wouldn't touch as a kid that
I'll drink now. I'm still very picky and I still don't like to try new
foods--but that's mostly because when I'm in a situation where I might
try a new food, I'm on the
spot (as in, my friend's mom cooked the meal or something). I'd rather
be rude and not eat something than be rude by gagging or making an unpleasant
face.

Anything
green or anything that looked like a vegetable. My family would mark it
on the calendar if I would eat one.
