Do
you plan on becoming an organ donor?Yes I do. What use do I have for my kidneys after I am dead
anyway? I think it is the most wonderful gift you can give another human being, the chance
to keep on living even after you have passed on.
Maggie, 20

I had always planned on being an organ
donor, but my two bouts with cancer have made my organs a dubious gift and cataract
operations have put the kibosh on cornea donations. I'm investigating the possibilities of
becoming a cadaver.
Jill, 60
Saylorsburg, PA USA
yes, I do
Stephanie, 25
TX USA
Yes. I have the sticker on my
drivers license and my family knows my wishes.
Laura, 36
Lowell, MA
USA
Yes, my driver's license says so and my
family concurs.
Jane, 60
West Linn, OR USA
it really is the right thing to do.
Jaden, 21
Brampton, Ontario CANADA
Already am-have a cute little heart w/ a
"Y" in it on my license.
Angela, 16
Aiken, SC
USA
Not really. Humans are overpopulated
already, so unless a specific person I care about needs an organ, I don't see a good
reason to donate. Sounds selfish, I know, but it's not.
Karen, 21
Marshelltown/Ames, IA USA
Not right away (that came to mind
pretty quick). It isn't something I've thought of much.
I'm a little because I've heard stories (which may be just that) of people who could have
been saved but mysteriously faded away for the convenience of someone else and I'm well
aware of my networth. I guess I'll find out how I feel about it when it comes time to
renew my license.
Alias Irrelevante
I'm listed to be one on my driver's license,
and I've told my family my intentions, so hopefully.
etoile, 20

already am...checked it off on my license
and family knows my wishes

I have a lot of issues to deal with in that
respect, most of the time the person has damaged their own organs, so probably not.

I haven't decided yet. There is
something unsettling about having your organs running
around everywhere, even though your dead. But at the same time, it would be cool to have
your organs still running around everywhere, even though your dead. I'm sure it helps alot
of people, but sometimes, I think I'd want to keep it all together.
Lisa J., 22
TN USA
I'm not trying to be flippant but I don't
think they'd want them. I'm slightly anemic and have had scarring to my heart and lungs.
My kidneys malfunctioned during pregnancy and I don't know the exact amount of permanent
damage there, if any. I think it's a wonderful thing and if I thought my organs were worthy, I'd donate them.
Fisch, 45
Preston, CT
USA
Yes.
Kim, 30
New York, NY
USA
I am an organ donator!
Jason, 21
Oneanta, NY
USA
Yes, for sure! If I was dead, why would I
need my organs anymore? I might as well put them to good use.
Dianne, 16
Oshawa, Ontario CANADA
definitely. if im dead, i certainly
dont need the parts anymore, so why not save someone else..
Jenn, 18
Milwaukee, MI
USA
Yes, except for my eyes. I'm not going to
need those parts; I plan on being cremated anyways, and I'd like to know that I've managed
to save a child's life (or anyone's life for that matter)!
Katie2, 18
Detroit, MI
USA
Yes, I won't be needing them....
Adrianne, 15
FL USA
no...not yet. ouch.
Anjel, 19
Absolutely. My driver's license says
so and other than giving birth, it is the most profound gift of life you can give another.
Felicia, 35
Lowell, MA
USA
if it presented itself at the right
moment and my gut told me to do it...yeah
Eric, 18
Beverly Hills, CA USA
yup. . .I
have it on my driver's license and I've told all my friends and relatives that this is my
intention. . . .(after I'm dead). . If there is a need for one of my organs between now
and my death I'd be happy to give to. . .I give plasma twice a week as a regular
supplement to my income. . .
mothmc, 36
Los Angeles, CA USA
Yes, I turned 18 last week, and I made sure
to sign my drivers liscence. If you cannot live any longer, why not give someone else a
chance.
Sarah S., 17
Ithaca, NY
USA
I already am. I didn't have much say in the
matter though - my mother decided from birth that if I ever died then my organs would be
put to good use. Not really the way that you want to talk about your new born kid, but I
don't mind.
Shanna, 15
Cardiff ENGLAND
Absolutely. I mean, I won't be needing them
anymore.........
Firelady, 23
Dallas, TX
USA
Yes, the
can use whatever they can. Except I have a problem with taking my skin, they can have the
organs.
