Are you going to do your taxes yourself or pay someone else to do them?

Our taxes aren't complicated--they will be a DIY project again this year.

I'm still waiting for a couple of w2's to come in. I'm pretty sure I didn't make enough to bother with a tax service.

Numbers? I'll pay someone else to do them. Every time.

Neither-my grandfather does income taxes, so he does mine for free.

Funny you should ask this question today. I decided that I'm going to do the taxes today. I do them myself. I don't pay anyone to do them. Turbo Tax does a great job.

This year I'm doing them myself. . .It's really easy and quick with my particular situaltion, being single and poor. . .

My father is making his lawyer do them or something.

I can usually talk my parents into doing them on their TurboTax computer program. I hang around, but am usually of no help!

I haven't decided yet. I've done both in the past. When I get everything pulled together I'll determine how complicated it will be this year and make my decision accordingly.

I'm too young, my parents do the tax stuff themselves.

Anna, 15

I've never done my taxes. Shocking, isn't it.

Jaden, 21

I'm getting them done for free at TurboTax online.

My dad did them for me, but in the future I'll probably do them myself. I want as much money as possible without giving even more to someone else!!!

neither. my grampa will do them for me. i would have no clue.

I really don't have to do taxes because I don't have a job and when I do work at home, it is off the books.

Fortunately I don't have to do them, but if I did I'd probably do them myself. They can't be that hard, right?

Shanna, 15

Well, I guess I'm doing them myself. I get a lot of help organizing and figuring things out from my girlfriend, but we use a computer program and file electronically so I'm pretty much doing it myself.

neither, my sister does mine, for free. that's the best way to go. you don't have to worry about doing them, and you don't have to pay. :) the best way to live life

About 15 years ago I made a HUGE mistake on my taxes. Had to pay $10,000 because of it. Then two years later I made another one and was audited. I figured the IRS was probably specifically watching for my return to catch me in another mistake so I've had my taxes done by H&R Block ever since. But it is getting quite expensive so this year my husband and I are going to do them ourselves and have an accountant friend check them over.

Myself.

I always go running to my dad to do my taxes. He hasn't botched them up yet, and he is free. That and he would be gravely insulted if I *dared* to set foot in an accountant's office, Lord forbid.

Maggie, 20

Myself, I have barely any to do.

Sarah S., 17

'm doing them. Paying someone else part of my 400 bucks to figure that out would be a waste of time and money.

I have an account do them. I am self employed and married with home kids and deductions. The accountant knows more than me on what rules and regulations are currant with the IRS. So I get all the paperwork together and have him do it.

I don't file taxes. I work but I don't make enough to file taxes.
