Who has had the
most influence in your life?My parents definitely in terms of my core set of values and
behaviors which have provided the foundation for who I am today. On an intellectual level,
I thank Mr. Barnwall my 11th grade social studies teacher and Dr. Kling my mentor in
college, who both open doors to critically think about the world and question. My Aunt
Margaret who set a very good role model for what women can do and how they can succeed.
And finally, a very special group of high school friends, who provided me with the support
to grow.
God this sounds like an acceptance speech
for the Academy Awards or something.

Undoubtedly,
the most influential people in my life were my parents, particularly my mother. I've also
found sensible advice embodied in fictional heroines.
Jill, 59

Mommy and Daddy. Without a doubt. My husband ranks right up there, though.
Laura, 34
Lowell, MA
Maybe my mom, but I don't know. So
many people have affected me in so many ways.

I would say it's a tie between my
family and my fiancee. My family molded me into the
person that I have become, and my fiancee has added onto that in a way that's difficult
for me to explain, but I know it's there.

Personally, that would be my parents. They
support me through every academic endeavor, and always give me the strength I need.
Academically, I would have to say my thesis advisors. All three women give me
encouragement, and know when to tell me to suck it up and get on the ball.

In my early life, I totally looked
up to my cousin who is four years older. I still do, but not to the same degree. In the
recent past my role models have been dc Talk. My close
friends influence me a lot, also.

A wonderful woman, called Vicki, who's
strength, character, wisdom, love of life and learning, beauty and moral values, have
always uplifted me.I love you dearly.

It has been a rockem-sockem robot
match between me and stupid people all my life. At this point, the stupids are winning.
God bless their simple little heads, this answer is
dedicated to them.

My
parents simply because I was around them most, both good and bad.

I've met so many
people in my life, I don't think I'd ever be able to choose. My parents, I suppose, since
I lived by their rules for most of my young life.
