| Where do you get
your energy?Nicotine, Coke, good old fashioned piss and vinegar, bourgeoisie
angst, artistic furor, social dissatisfaction, and naps.
Anthony, 24 Baton Rouge, LA Mainly from the chemical imbalance in my brain. . .Caffeine helps a lot too. . along with being naturally obsessive/compulsive, driven and focussed if a bit all over the place and greedy in my ambition to get too much done. . . mothmc, 35 Pensacola, FL From my wonderful husband who's love, and support makes every day a blessing. Helena, 31 Hopefully enough sleep but to augment that a cup of coffe and vitamin B goes a long way to keep me moving. Janet, 42 Jeez, what energy? Energy is a big problem for me, actually. I haven't been the same since the last time I had mono. It is so frustrating for me, because I see other people functioning normally, and sometimes I can't. The thing that makes that even harder is that I'm not ALWAYS wiped out. Sometimes I can do whatever--stay up most of the night, run around doing what I want or need to do. . .that'll last maybe a week, and then all of a sudden I'll be passing out at 9 PM again. I guess the only thing that makes it easier for me to be energetic is when I have something to look forward to. There were a couple months toward to the end of last year when just about every day was happy. . .I felt like I'd never been tired in my life. Then I topped having such good days, and I stopped having energy. That sounds more like depression than the after affects of mono, but I don't feel like I'm in any kind of psychological trouble. Even if I were I think that'd be somewhat normal ( see my thesis paper from high school at http://www.karen.black.org/monothesis.html ). So if anyone has any ideas for where I can get free energy, let me know. . . Karen, 20 Who knows?? Sometimes I can have no energy at all and just want to sleep and other times I can survive on 1 or 2 hours sleep a night for several weeks. Nikki, 26 I get my energy from being around other people. Most of the time it is positive energy, but once in a while someone can really drag me down. Laura, 34 from getting rid of yesterday's energy and sleeping really really good. Alias Irrelevante Caffeine, cigarettes, and multi-vitamins. Amy, 23 I get my energy from reading, that usually recharges me because it lets me forget about all the stuff in the real world that bothers me, and lets me get wrapped up in another world altogether...escapism,I guess. Nicole From an ample supply of red blood cells--I've just finished a course of chemotherapy and I speak with great authority. Anemia =helplessness. Jill, 59 From new ideas and energized teams of people. Felicia, 34 |
