I
usually clean up my office, file away last years bills, make a new file
in my Quicken. I usually take the last week off from work. SO I hang out,
go to the movies, visit friends.

Usually I
spend quiet time reflecting on the past year and planning for the upcoming
year. This was disrupted a bit this year by an unexpected party.

I like to
have the house clean and all bills paid. Dinner has to include a piece
of pig because while all other animals graze backwards, the pig roots
forward and this is a Good Omen.

Not really,
unless you count scheduling a lot of vacation days so I won't lose them.
(We can't carry over unused vacation days to the next year.)

Not really.
I usually make a New Year's resolution or two, but I don't take them too
seriously.

every year I check out the collected newspapers I have collected from

Almost always
I go to my sister's house in NJ for a New Year's Eve party. Alas, this
year my husband and I are leaving for vacation on Jan 1 so we won't be
going. And my sister isn't feeling so great and decided not to have the
usual party.
