Have you ever been anaesthetised?
Yes I was and
I didn't do very well coming out of the anaesthesia. It was supposed to
be same-day surgery: in at 8 and out by noon. They were closing down the
place at 5 and I was still a mess, but the let my husband half carry me
to the car and I slept the rest of it off at home.

Yes. I broke my
left femur in a car accident and was anesthetized for the surgery. I still
have a steel plate and 14 pins in my leg.

Yes, before surgery
in 1999. I was waiting to be put under before surgery and getting more
upset by the minute. So they gave me a "little" something to
calm me down. The next thing I remember the doctor was in my face asking
me if I was awake and it was all over.

Of course. Most
memorably with an IV of demurral (sp?) while having my wisdom teeth excavated
from my head. Yay!

Just when I had
my root canal...Oh, and when I had my wisdom teeth pulled...and the numbing
stuff wore off in the middle...that reeked...although seeing the blood
trickle out of my mouth was pretty cool...reminded me of Fight Club...and
its 3 rules...
1- Do not talk about fight club
2- Do not talk about fight club
3- Do not talk about fight club
Pretty easy rules to remember...I must say.

Yes. I've had local
anesthetics (in my mouth for dental work and under my arms when I had
skin tags removed), and I've had other anesthesia too. When I had my wisdom
teeth removed, I was awake and aware of what was going on but WAY more
relaxed than usual. And when I had a laparoscopy/laser surgery for endometriosis,
I was completely out for the first time I know of. I wasn't really expecting
it to happen as fast as it did, either.

Yes, I've had a
couple surgeries. And actually, I was just anaesthetized again just two
days ago. I was in the hospital and had a nasty test that they had to
"put me out" for.

I've never been
put completely out, only given pain killers during labor.

Yes I have. I had
my tonsils taken out when I was 26. I remember when I awoke I was shaking
and the wondeful nurse asked me if I was cold. I remember saying no that
my body was just shaking without me willing it to do so.

Yes - the first
time was when I was 6 and had my tonsils removed. Once when I was older,
I was coming out from under the influence of the anesthesia and I heard
an angry nurse on the phone with a vendor of some kind of suction product
- she was angry because the product had been defective when she had tried
to use it - an unconscious patient had vomited and the suction
wouldn't work and she was saying how the patient could have died. As my
