What
is the most unusual gift you bought someone else for Christmas? The most unusual gift
I bought for somebody else on Chrismas: a bunch of WWII videos for my sister n' law who
seems the the opposite of the type of person who should be into that stuff. But hey,
whatever works for her.

I remember when I was a kid buying a candle
shaped like a hamburger for my father. I am sure there were some othere dooseys since, but
I can't really remember.

Hmmm . .. Hard one. Possibly a "Mr.
Potatohead" for my brother. He was 26 or 27. He didn't get the nifty-coolness of it
Pretty mundane on the unusual scale.

Ok, I went to Capricorns Lair on the net and
ordered a gift for my husband. It's a white towel with CUM embroidered on it with an oval
around it. I know it's gonna make him laugh.

This year, I bought the ugliest tie
at the bargain store, complete with screened-on toucan birds, for fifty cents. I bought it
for a friend at school who only has one tie. Surprisingly, he liked it a lot and was very thankful.

I don't have a good answer for this one. I'm
sort of a Humbug when it comes to Christmas, much to the chagrin of my husband. He is very
into Christmas! He hates the fact that I'm so nonchalant about it. I usually give
very practical gifts. I'm very boring!

I try not to get unusual gifts. I think they
are fairly normal. Unless someone just hasn't told me they are unusual.
Stephanie, 25

I bought my friend a rat once. Her parents
bought the other one and she was thrilled with them. I really like buying people presents
that I know they'll like.

This year, I suppose it was 2 pounds of
coffee. Ever? I don't recall...

Okay, I'm gonna be at least the 3rd
to ask 'why does it have to be a christmas present?' With that done and dismissed I think
the most unusual gift I've given to someone under any occasion was a ceramic gargoyle which doubled as a bong that could be left out in the open
if the recipients mom ever dropped in. I know this isn't too far out there but I'm kind of
new to the gift giving thing.
Alias Irrelevante
A voodoo doll.

Well, nothing was particularly unusual. I
made my secret santa at work a batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies and left them on
his desk in a plastic bag because i had no cookie tins. So i guess it was vaguely
original! :)

I got my granddaughter one of the new
responsive dolls that is amazingly realistic in its facial expressions and comments. The
artificial intelligence (even if quite limited) built in made it great fun for the whole
family.

Nightmare before Christmas salt and
pepper shakers??? I lead a boring Christmas life
I guess.
Amy, 24

I dunno. I get everybody pretty unusual
stuff, if I know them well enough to know what they like. . .
Karen, 21

An acrylic paint set for my twin.

Oh i got my mom's friend a drinking shot
board game thing.

I buy very few gifts but when we exchanged
gifts at work, I bought my "person" a Beginner's Field Guide to the Birds and a
Beginner's Field Guide to Wildflowers. She LOVED these books!

Butt porn. (On accident.)

This year my gifts are very staid. Several
years ago I gave a good friend a batch of earthworms to help her convert the subsoil
around her new house into a garden.

Well, i bought my mom a chicken shaped draft
dodger, btu i think the most unusual (or at least unique) gift is the one i'm making for
my best friend (sorry... can't tell ya cause it's still a secret:)!)

A book of poetry that I found in a used book
store. It's dog-eared and torn, but it was exactly what my best friend wanted and I hadn't
been able to find it for him anywhere.

I bought my husband a lamp that is the
replica of the Star Ship Enterprise. One of his favorite shows.
Janet, 42
