I just started working at the supermarket a
few weeks ago, so I'm not sure what my solid hours per week will be, but its usually
anywhere between eight and fifteen.

Well, it's supposed to be 40, but I
suspect it's more like 38 or so. I take two hours off
once a week for a doctor's appointment, and I skip my half-hour lunches the other four
days, but I'm not sure that I make it to 40 every week.

I work at a part-time job 5.5 hrs a week,
but I do so much homework (~5+/-hrs a night) that i think that must count for something!

work? like in an achual job? Maybe about 15.
At school...one hell of a lot. And at home...i don't even know if I can count that high.

How many hours of work do I average
per week? Well, let's see. I work 5 days a week, 8
hours a day, no lunch hour, so I would say 40. Sometimes a work a little longer, here and
there, but I rarely get paid for it. Talking about work is boring so I'll make this short
and sweet.
Lisa J., 22
TN USA
Twice as many as I get paid for! The life of
a teacher!! 40 regular hours, 3 extra hours for an after school program I teach and then
at LEAST two extra hours a day that I DON'T get paid!

Just got a new job at the beginning of the
month at a grocery store deli, looks to be in the 38-43 range for now on a Friday thru
Tuesday sched.

It totally depends on the week, but
I guess probably 15. No, wait, I take that back.
Probably more like 10 now. I don't know.

At my job outside the home I work about
30-40 hours a week. I also volunteer at my church about 5 hours a week. And I run the
house, raise two children, cook, grocery shop, laundry, clean, chauffeur, pay the bills
etc. in all the other hours that are left. And occasionally enjoy a good book or movie.
Janet, 42
E. Brunswick, NJ USA
I average
40 hours a week at my job and many more doing things around the house. Of course my wife
puts in far more hours around the house than I do.
Kevin, 33
Sugar Hill, GA USA
70-90 hours per week. Ain't teaching a witch?
Amy, 23
New Orleans, LA USA
Because of my husband's health, I'm never
off duty. Further, as a housewife, "work" is an imprecise term. I don't like
dusting--that is "work". I rather enjoy cooking. I water plants and fill the
bird feeders because of the instant payback. Life is complicated.
Jill, 59
Saylorsburg, PA USA
About 35-40 hrs
Tina, 31

I work 40 hours per week....although it
seems much, much, much longer. Since they say times flies when you are having fun, that
should describe how much fun my job is.
Mick, 30
Chicago, IL

I'm on the Alternate Work Schedule which
means I work 35 hours one week (with one day off) and 45 the next. 80 hours per pay
period.
Reba, 51
Rockville, MD

Hmm.... let's see. Work work= 25
hours a week. School work= 18 classroom hours+ 4-5 homework hours a week. Mommy work=
perpetually. Ack! A better question is how many Maggie hours do I average per week?
Maggie, 20
Sandwich, IL
USA
About 47 depending on if I leave early from
boredom
Stephanie, 25
TX USA
40 hours. Of course, I also commute 10 hours
a week and I consider that part of my job, since that's time not spent with the family.
Jesse, 25
Bowie, MD

This fall I probably averaged 40-45 hours a
week at my Catholic High School admissions dept. job. My husband, on the other hand, has
probably averaged about 90 hours a week. He's an investment banker. Really crazy! Good
thing he loves his job!
Susan, 31
Chicago, IL
USA
I don't
work.
Shanna, 15

At the day job, about 45 per week. When
working on a show, add another 24 to that. When writing for anything, anywhere in between
zero and 4 hours a week.
