If somebody gave you a 10 thousand dollars a year, to stay in a job you
loathe, would you stay?
I presume you mean,
$100,000. The answer is still "No".
Jill,

Saylorsburg, PA USA
No. However, it
might make me stay in a job I was ambivilant about.
Felicia,
37
Lowell, MA USA
Nope. 10 G's is
not enough money.
Janet,
45
E. Brunswick, NJ USA
Obviously this
would be in addition to what the job pays. Ummm...no.
Alias
Irrelevante
No I would not.
The first reason being that 10K is nothing to live on these days. Especially
if the job that you loathe is not a high salary either. I would stay in
the loathsome job until I found a better. I mean, you can barely afford
a good rent w/ 10K.
Carrie
Probably not. That's
not really a lot of money considering it's a job I hate.
Aly,

Is that money on
top of pay? Probably not.
Stephanie,

Ten thousand dollars
a year isn't much but I think I know what you mean and the answer is a
resounding "no". If you can't enjoy life, what else is there?
And your job, which you're at for 8 hours a day, is a big part of your
life.
Reba,
57
Gaithersburg, MD USA
I'm too old to
do that.
Judy,
62
Easton, KS USA
No. My happiness
is worth much more than that! 20 thousand, I'd think about it!
Doug2,
30
Kansas City, KS USA
No, 10 thousand
dollars sucks. That's basically what I make now and no one can afford
to live on that. If they offered me 100 thousand then I would condier
it.
Keri-Jade,

No.

no
Melodi,

No.
Laura,

Lowell, MA USA
No. I make more
than that now in a job I like. If you mean $10,000 in addition to what
I make now, the answer is still no. I can make myself pretty miserable
when I brood about not liking work. It's
just not worth it, which is why I'm one of the first when working conditions
are bad.
Cathie,
53
Novi, MI USA
i could make more
than that at a job i'm ok with.
A-Dog,
20
Eugene, OR USA
No way. You're
talking the rest of your working life here! No amount of money would make
me want to torture myself like that!
Tam
Probably not. I've
been known to leave a job if I am very unhappy with it (not in the past
2 years though).
Ashley,
20
Jacksonville, FL USA
No.
Jane,
63
West Linn, OR USA
No. $50,000 - maybe.
But loathe is a strong word. It is very important for me to be happy (at
least non-stressed) at work - I recently changed jobs to achieve that.
I went from being a chief to being an Indian (which has its own issues
that I've had to deal with) and overall, I am happy with that decision.
Cindy,

10 thousand on
top of my pay, or for my pay? If I could find something better that paid
well
enough, I'd take that. But I have had jobs I loathed, and I made less
than that much at them. You gotta do what you gotta do.
Karen,
23
Ames, IA USA
No,
money isn't the only thing. I'd rather be poor and enjoy where I spend
most of my day.
