Do you tan easily?

I've never enjoyed baking in the sun and since I've been 16 have deliberately limited my exposure.

Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA

I tan easily and don't burn, but since I had skin cancer some years ago, I no longer allow myself to do so.

Jane, 63
West Linn, OR USA

I burn then tan from then on.

No.

No.

Alias Irrelevante

Apparently my forearms and forehead tan easily. The rest of me does not.

Keri-Jade, 23
Brampton, Ontario CANADA

I do not work on a tan anymore. It was a high priority when I was a teen and in my 20s and 30s. Ever since having cancer in 1999, it suddenly seems like a risk I don't want to pursue. I do tan easily, however. My skin tone is medium and I tan a nice golden color.

Cindy, 41
VA USA

Yes, I do. I have a gorgeous "farmer's tan" just from driving to and from work.

Cathie, 53
Novi, MI USA

Not especially, though my legs have tanned very nicely in the past. The rest of me just breaks out in freckles whatever I do.

Aly, 17

I have to watch it. I am pretty fair skinned. My goal is not to burn nor tan and prevent skin cancer.

Janet, 45
E. Brunswick, NJ USA

I wouldn't call it tanning as much as a quick burn. Darn fair skin.

Ryan, 29
Riedlingen GERMANY

I tan very easily, but I don't get nearly as much sun as I used to. I work indoors and only have small amounts of time to spend outside having fun on weekends.

Doug2, 30
Kansas City, KS USA

Burn and peel.

Fisch, 47
Preston, CT USA

Not at all. Burning is pretty easy though.

Cristin, 25
Frisco, TX USA

I'm 1/4 Native American, so I do tend to tan releatively easily.

Tam

I'm a Coppertone girl -- my skin gets browner and my hair gets blonder.

Laura, 38
Lowell, MA USA

I think I'm average.

Karen, 23
Ames, IA USA

no but I burn easily

Melodi, 19
Gahanna, OH USA

No, I burn easily. I used to lie outside for hours to build up a tan, but I had to take it very slowly. That was before sunscreen and the only way I could stay out without a painful burn. Now my skin's paying the price.
