What did you throw away today?
Soem trash, but

Just general garbage
that goes along with living. Nothing big.

I don't think I
have thrown anything away today. I put aside some cans and boxes to recycle,
though.

To the compost:
Shrimp shells, banana peels, onion skins and other kitchen debris.
To the recycling bin: Two jars, a soda can, an empty Tums bottle and the
Sunday newspapers.
To the garbage destined for the landfill: A dogfood bag and several plastic
bags from frozen food. Tea wrappers. The top to the Tums bottle.

I threw away junk
mail and a used tissue, though I was half tempted to place the used tissue
into the return envelope from the junk mail and send it off "postage
paid" and all, I refrained. Maybe next time.

I helped a local
museum break down and throw out two 40 foot long tape sculptures.

As today is my
refuse collection day, I threw away a small container of trash and a large
one to be recycled. More importantly, I discarded a couple of preconceptions
and a few uncharitable thoughts.

Random papers that
were cluttering the desk. It's not even 10 AM. I'm sure I'll toss much
more stuff as the day goes by.

Cleaned out the
refrig. A dead melon, some clams that went bad (what a smell) Actually,
I doubled them up in a plastic bag to throw out into the outside trash
on actual garbage day - cause the smell out in the heat well be ghastly!
I cleaned out a medicine cabinet - so I tossed a bunch of
half used hair sprays and gels, old band-aids.

Wrapping paper
from a gift, a broken hair clip, junk mail, a packing envelope from a
book I received from a member of BookCrossing, packaging from dog treats
and empty bird food sack.

A
couple of old manky water bottles, food stuffs, old envelopes from bills,
some icky tissues that I found lurking around my desk.
