What
is happening outside of your country right now?I just finished reading the morning
newspapers. I'm very glad that I live in an oasis of calm and not in Ireland, Israel--or
elsewhere in the Middle East--The Balkans, Afghanistan, Central America, South America or
in Africa.

The
Palestinians are mad because the Isrealis are escalating the violence in the occupied
territories. The U.S. is playing semantics games about our involvement with the upcoming
UN Racism conference.

I have no clue.

Disarmament in Macedonia, fighting between
Israel and Palestine, riots in Spain, Australia winning the Test Match, a whole world of
activities.

I have no idea...I'm not very big on current
events-I'm lucky to know what's happening in my own country most days.

I haven't had lots of time lately to really
delve into political or other issues involving other countries. I know there's unrest in
the mideast....oh my, what news. Why don't they just quit reporting that stuff as though
it was the first time anyone's heard of it. Sheesh.

I'm not sure, I haven't been
watching the news

The middle east is about to explode. The
Taliban regime in Afghanistan is continuing to be horrible and controlling.

Well, I know for a fact that the Israelis
and the Palestinians are kicking the shiznik outta each other. Those dumb stoops.

Life is happening. People are being born.
People are dying, wars are being fought, peace is being made... pretty much the same stuff
that is happening here but in a different language by people wearing different clothes.

Lots of stuff is going on in Israel
and Palestine. Africa continues to have trouble with
AIDS. I hear other things but I don't follow much news other than what's local. Actually,
not quite - I read it, I just don't remember it.

A whole lotta shit I'll never ever hear
about.

Time is
progressing, people are being born, and dying, and somebody is fighting with somebody
else...

Geez...it's as if there's not enough going
on in my immediate vicinity! Now I have to worry about what's happening outside the
country? But seriously folks, isn't this a rather broad question? I'm sure lots of things
are going on outside the country. More than inside the country, to be sure.
Kristin, 20

i don't understand the question. .
