What is a typical
Sunday like for you?I normally work Sundays (called in sick today). It's retail
and naturally we get the most business on weekends which are also the days most people
want off. So during the week we have ten people working the dept. and hardly any
customers. On weekends it's 3 or 4 people trying not to remember that there are plenty of
guns just 3 isles a way. Beutiful guns, wonderful guns...After work I think about heading
down to catch the JeffRobinsonTrio(.com) poetry jam in Cambridge, but usually stay home
and catch it on the net after

finish whatever the weekend had in store to try to rest for a few hours before sleeping
only to get up and head to work in the morning.

I get up and go to church to worship God.
After I go to the grocery store, come home eat lunch and l then I usually cook a big meal,
a roast, mashed potatoes, salad, cornbread, a cake. If it's summer, our family foes to my
mother in laws to swim in her pool or during the winter I invite her over for a Sunday
meal.

We usually go for a Sunday drive somewhere
after eating a breakfast out. Sometimes a movie in the evening.

I really don't have a typical sunday. I wake
up, do whatever it is that I'm going to do that day, and go to sleep.

Typical Sunday involves sleeping in a little
late but not too. Having Brunch or a long breakfast at home with friends. Perhaps
going to the movies or over to a friend's house. Meandering throught the day. Wrap it up
with an action meeting with other friends and a general overall dread that the work
week will begin tomorrow.

I usually wake up around 10 ish and watch
cartoons till I wake up. Eat breakfast get dressed and walk to the laundry room. I live in
apts. I like to wait around there for my laundry to get done (since you never know what
freaks will be in there lookin to steal womens panties. 1 weeks worth of laundry takes
about 1-2 hours. i might then go to the pool since it is like 150 in the summer here or go
to the mall to check out the clearance racks. I sometimes do my grocery shoppin' for the
next week or just goof off all day. I mainly just get prepared mentally and physically for
another 5 days of hell at work.

I really don't have typical days. It depends

Sunday - a day to wake up naturally, you
know, no provocation. Sit around unshowered in jammers till the water boils for a nice hot
cup of tea. Enjoy a light breakfast while reading the paper...maybe even with a little
music in the background. Then shower and get down to the business of flying by the seat of
my pants for the remainder of the day. That's my idea of a perfect Sunday!

I do the usual morning things, go to Mass
with my husband, brunch at the nearby diner, read the Sunday papers, miscellaneous tidying
chores, nap, lounge on the couch, light dinner with my husband and sleep.

I guess there is no such thing as a
"typical" Sunday for me. Right now the trend has been that Sunday is the
Thursday of my work week because I work Thursday thru Monday at a certain major music
museam that recently opened in Seattle. But I am only having this go on for the summer so
in the fall a typical sunday will most likely be doing lots of schoolwork.

We sleep in! Right now we're
averaging church attendance about every other Sunday. If we don't go to church, we're
either "healthy" and go to the lakefront and jog, or "unhealthy" and
go out for a big fattening breakfast! The rest of the day depends on the time of year. In
the summer there's a million things to do - street fests, BBQ's etc., but in the winter
it's time to hybernate like the rest of Chicagoans!

Generally I just try to relax. I play my
Playstation, listen to the radio, speak on the phone, just relax. I like Sundays.

This is as typical as they get: I usually
get up at the crack of dawn; the wife stays asleep for another 1-2 hours. I either use
that time to entertain myself or get quiet housework done. When the wife is up, we get
breakfast out of the way and figure out what else we'll do that day.

First, sleeping a little later, just because
I can. Then the Sunday newspapers, followed by the New York Times Sunday crossword puzzle.
After an easily prepare lunch--or a pre-prepared lunch--I organize my weekly library
requests and my monthly f/sf paperback order. Eventually I select a highly desirable book
and begin reading.
Jill, 59
Saylorsburg, PA
I like to chill out on Sunday.
Sometimes I will read or do other relaxing, stressless things.
Mandy, 24
Fairfax, VA
Sleeping an extra hour, having a special
breakfast with my granddaughter, reading the paper, lazing through the morning, a family
outing in the afternoon, perhaps a cookout, and getting ready for the work week.
Jane, 60

Sundays in the summer...either just hanging
out at the beach and relaxing or fishing on the sea for a 6 hour trip or maybe sailing if
the wind's up or surfing if the waves are good!

Usually I go to church after taking a shower
and changing my clothes after getting in from my regular forty(40) hour a week overnight
job(I work almost every Saturday night. . .). . I like the Roman Catholic church in the
neighborhood of the Silver Lake district in Los Angeles where I'm staying now. . the one
priest is among the most charismatic and engaging priests I've ever had the pleasure to
witness. . it's unfortunate his services are conducted completely in spanish. . .Just as
often, lately, I've been going to other churches. . this Sunday I'll probably be going to
an aposolic church with somebody I work with, last Sunday I went to a non-denominational
church in Encino that was on the second floor of a commercial complex(these silly
Christians fight about the tritest things(at least so it seems to this sincere
Pagan/Atheist)). . . .If I'm too tired most of the day I sleep and read and write and get
ready for work on Sunday night, as I work almost every Sunday night too. . .
