My computer is a) a laptop and b) comatose. It is surrounded by pliers, stale cookies, empty candy tins, paper towels, and whatever else is sitting on our counter.

Not my home computer, but on my work computer is a blue smiley face, a picture of me and my dog Tip, a picture of my niece Gracilyn, a card that came on my Valentine flowers from my husband that says I love you, Kenny and a small 6-month calendar with a border collie on top of it. I would not have space or energy to describe all the stuff on my desk...

I have a photo of my daughter in a frame-mousepad. I keep a few photos nearby though they aren't framed. I have knick-knacks all over my house...and even though you didn't ask, my computer desk is probably the most cluttered area of my house!!!!

At work I have four Beanie Babies on my PC - a Zodiac Rat for my husband (born in the Year of the Rat), a Northwestern Wildcat for my older daughter, a bunny with a Michigan T-shirt for my younger daughter, and Snoopy for me. I also have a Christmas photo of the girls and me, and one of my younger daughter with my husband. At home I have a Woody Hayes beanie bear on top of the PC and lots of family pictures in the screensaver.

My work one has kids' photos, one of me when I was 2 years old. And I have a translucent yellow plastic person that looks like the cingular phone logo. And a bumper sticker from Hot Topic that says: Don't make me get my flying monkeys! At home I have an octopus hanging off the monitor.

My computer table is devoted to utilitarian objects: a cube of note paper, a pocket diary, a comb, a cache of hard candy, a cup of pencils, pens and nail file, a box of paper clips, a kitchen timer, a dictionary, a crossword dictionary and a stack of web sites to investigate at some point.

LOVE them! Frodo bought me a Woodstock doll and I taped it to the top
of my
computer so it sits up there. I have three beanie babies - a loris sits
on one speaker, a frog sits on
the other, and a lizard stands in front. Frodo also got me a stuffed eagle
doll and it stands next to a speaker. I have photos of my cat and bird
and husband and an Audubon "Birds" calendar. Lots of neat stuff!

God...my computer
desk is a disgrace! Luckily, I have a huge desk with lots of space to
accumulate "stuff." Hmmm...let's see...I have: a Galileo thermometer,
a piece of sand art my son made at the fair, a diorama my son made in
school last year, my son's toy charmander, some of my son's yu-gi-oh cards,
his Gameboy Advance...a small clock, a wooden fish I got in Mexico, a
stick of incense, various books, a Discover magazine, a Spongebob Squarepants
toy, a picture of my son and mother, a case with CD's....a package of
Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans (my son's again...the other day I ate
one and it actually tasted like vomit! Gross!)...junk mail...a few stuffed
animals and a coffee cup. That's about it!

animal (a put) that sits on the top of my monitor, a couple of decrative
postcards, propted against the
keyboard, some pottery and an african shoni sculture off to the side.
