Do
you like to spend time alone?YES! In fact, I am not a "people person" at
all...I Would even rather work alone than with a bunch of customers with my job.
Melodi, 19
Gahanna, OH
USA
I do, yes, and it's a good thing because
most of the time if I'm alone, I didn't have any choice in the matter.
Reba, 50+
Silver Spring, MD USA
I love to spend time alone. Hate to spend
time lonely. Huge difference.
Fisch, 46
Preston, CT
USA
Yes! I'm not sure what I would do if I
didn't get at least SOME time to myself every day. It relaxes me.
Eric, 20
Beverly Hills, CA USA
Not only do I like to spend time
alone, I like to spend most of my time alone.
Johanna, 18
OK USA
Yup...I need time alone to write my crappy
novels, read, and be a freak...
Frodo
age unknown, parts unknown
I have to spend time alone. I get to feeling
hemmed in if I'm around too many people for too long. I guess it's a good thing I like it
because writing is solitary.
Judy, 62
Easton, KS
USA
Of course I "like" to spend time
alone. In fact, I find some solitary time every day is essential for my mental health.
Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA
Not only do I like it, it is essential to my
mental well-being.
Felicia, 36
Lowell, MA
USA
Sometimes. I think it's healthy and
important to have some alone-time with yourself!
Tracy, 24
Ocean City, NJ USA
Yes, perhaps, more-so than being around
people.
Kyle, 16
OH USA
Yes...sometimes I get in moods where all I
want is to be alone.
Christina
MI USA
I don't get to spend nearly as much time
alone now as I used to. I used to very much value my alone time. Now, since I've
been married and have kids, alone time is pretty much non-existent... but I don't mind. I
value my time with my family more than spending time alone.
Doug2, 29
Overland Park, KS USA
Yes I like to spend time alone. To be online
or to read and just to do what I want to do.
Laney
TX USA
I used
to. I still do, I guess, so I have a chance to read and write. But I'd rather be with my
husband. I like to be alone with my husband. : )
Karen, 22
Ames, IA
USA
Yes. In fact it's mandatory that I get alone
time or I get grumpy.
Triana, 29
Austin, TX
USA
Absolutely. Need to have some time to spend
by yourself to just relax and think things out.
Kevin, 33
Sugar Hill, GA USA
Very much so! I don't want to be
alone all the time, but some time by myself is
necessary for balance.
Jane, 62
West Linn, OR
USA
Absolutely, but too much time alone will
drive me crazy!
Angela, 18
Bella Vista, AR USA
Yes, although I'm a people person, I need
some good alone time to refresh now and then. Plus most of my travel is done alone, as I
can go at my own pace, and am not confined to a group decision on where to go and what to
do.
Ryan, 28
Riedlingen GERMANY
Sometimes. Being alone and feeling alone are
different though. I'd rather be alone.
Nicci, 27
Las Vegas, NV
USA
every now and then, though I hate it on my
days off which is when I normally end up doing it.
Nicole2, 20
Jackson, FL
USA
Not too much time alone. I'm a people
person, but I do need a little time everyday to just be by myself.
Laura, 37
Lowell, MA
USA
I was an only child that grew up in
the woods, so whether I try or not, I usually end up
spending a lot of time alone. I can make friends, but I can't keep them, because I'm
usually not up to the effort it takes to maintain friendships. I a little distant, a
little hard to get close to or ahold of. I find I can entertain myself better alone than
with others, and activities I do with others I could just as soon have done by myself,
like seeing movies or shows. I cherish my alone time, and I get bitchy when I don't get
enough of it through whatever circumstances, just like I do when I don't get enough sleep
or food.
Cancer, 20
NYC, NY
USA
Of course, to some extent.
Firelady, 24
Dallas, TX
USA
I have to have a certain amount of alone
time each day or else I go insame. This is especially true when I'm living at my Grams'
place and I'm working and all day I have to deal with people, so I just need some time to
myself and no one seems to understand that. And I'm about five days away from moving back
to my Grams'. Joy.
Keri-Jade, 21
Brampton, Ontario CANADA
Yes. I like sit sit and reflect in solitude.
With a husband two kids and a job, it doesn't happen too often.
Janet, 44
E. Brunswick, NJ USA
YESYESYES. A big fat YES. If I don't have time alone to myself, I
will go insane. It is an absolute necessity to have
time alone. It is
one of the most important things to me.
