Have you ever been invovled in a court case?

yes, a rather convoluted one having to do with child support (ugh)

I was going to make some wisearse response, but decided that would make me look juvenile. So, no.

Ummm. . .no, not that I know of.

Almost. I was the cameraman for a strike detail when I was working security. After I left the agency on bad terms they needed me to testify that I shot the footage and that it was unalterred. Still not liking the company I   took the money in advance and showed up to where they were meeting prior to the trial looking like someone they would not want testifying on their behalf. $200 and a small taste of revenge. That was fun.

No, never. And I hope it stays that way.

Only as a jury member.

Yes, quite regularly, as a juror. In addition, I went through long and convoluted divorce proceedings, which at one point went to the State Court of Appeals.

Not that I'm aware of. LOL

Nope, thank God.

I was involved in a nasty divorce case and later my husband's ex-wife tried to accuse him of child abuse and nearly lost the kids herself. Family  law cases are not fun. This cost us thousands of dollars.

My mother got custody of me & my sister when we were 13&14 years old. The judge wanted to talk to us and ask who we wanted to live with. Of course it was her, because our father was an abusive alcoholic.

I'm sitting here trying to remember, remembering, and wondering whether it's a good idea for me to say. . .

Yes. Not a terribly interesting event, though I did learn some things throughout the case.

yeah, but only for traffic and alchohol violations. just the small stuff.  they haven't caught me stalking anyone yet.

As I have mentioned before, I married into a family with many colorful fringes. Activities of these fringes have involved both civil and criminal courts.

Fortunately, no. I guess when my parents were divorced I was a court case subject (for who gets custody), but I wasn't present for any of it.

Thankfully, I've never been involved in anything more than some traffic violations. I was in a car-wreck once (my fault) and had to go before the judge and declare "no-contest", but that was just traffic court and doesn't really count.

YES...

Not at all. The closest I ever came was when I had jury duty. But I was dismissed.

Laura, 37

Nope. I almost went to court to testify against someone. I wouldn't mind being on a jury.

I've never had to appear in court, but I did recently write a letter of petition in my cousin's favor in a court case he was recently involved in.

Angela, 18

No, but my dad was involved in one with this prick who had a fit everytime my dad walked the dog without a leash. My dad, as a result, would walk the dog back and forth in front of the house, send the neighbor porn, and spit on his car. I think my dad lost the case.

Don't know if it counts, but I had to go before a judge to get court supervision for a little speeding incident when I was younger.
