What
are your thoughts about "daylight savings time"?I like it once I get
adjusted, which doesn't take long. I like having longer evenings.
Judy, 62

USA
Daylight savings is a Fact of Life. I've
learned to accept Facts of Life.
Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA
I think it's silly. It messes up my sleeping
patterns completely. I never adjust to it.
Laura, 37
Lowell, MA
USA
Um, it started today? Or last night?
Karen, 22
Ames, IA
USA
I love the long summer evenings. It
is less important to me, though, living on the western edge of the Pacific time zone, than
it was when I was on the eastern edge of Eastern time.
Jane, 62W
West Linn, OR

I think it's a huge pain in the ass. Falling
back is so much easier!
Keri-Jade, 21
Brampton, Ontario CANADA
I love it in the Fall when we get an extra
hour. But have to say, I was a bit ticked yesterday when I woke up and realized it was an
hour later than I had thought it was.
Felicia, 36
Lowell, MA
USA
It's confusing
Melodi, 19
Gahanna, OH

What an inopportune time to
institute it! I have two midterms and a paper due
within the next two days, and I need that extra hour! Otherwise, I have no opinion, and
I've never "gained" or "lost" an hour of sleep by it--I stay up all
night on Sundays during the school year anyway! It creates mild confusion--I don't bother
to set my watch in the fall since I don't wear it that often. So when spring comes around,
the time is already set forward, and I'm never sure what is the correct time. Also, I'm
never sure when other people set their clocks, so do I say I meet a person at 3 or 4?
Cancer, 20

It's good in one way that the days get
longer and the sun stays out longer and you know its almost summer. However, trying to
adjust to that one hour of sleep taken away takes some getting use to.
Stephanie, 25
TX USA
I fail to see what the point of it is, aside
from to make me cranky because I lost an hour of sleep.
Maggie, 22

I just wish we could enjoy more daylight
hours throughout the whole year. I'm not sure I understand why the times have to change,
but I don't use that side of my brain much. I'm sure there's some fool reason why we can't
just keep the current hours throughout the year.
Fisch, 46
Preston, CT
USA
Actually, I have no thoughts on it.
I guess some people find it a real pain in the neck,
but I don't.
Reba, 50+
Silver Spring, MD USA
I love it in the fall when I get to sleep an
extra hour, and I hate in the spring when I lose an hour of sleep.
Eric, 20
Beverly Hills, CA USA
Frankly it's a pain. I have 32 to change
counting clocks, cars, watches, video recorders, stereos, phones, answering machines,
computers, fax machine and stove. And getting the exact minute is important for VCR's. No
help from hubby as once he changed the time to whatever time it was when he started so I
had to redo the minutes.
Laney
TX USA
I think we should stay on DST year around
and quit changing all the time. DST is the best, giving us light in the evenings to
do things. I'm sick of keeping up with the time changes.
Triana, 29
Austin, TX
USA
I think that it's stupid and just makes
things more complicated
Kyle, 16
OH USA
I like it. I enjoy watching people who
forget about it show up really late for church.
Ryan, 28
Riedlingen GERMANY
I don't get it. Play with the clock all you
want, a day is still a day.
Alias Irrelevante
Pretty much apathetic towards it, really.
Johanna, 18
OK USA
I don't really think about it once I
remember to change the clocks. As long as my son gets to school on time, I don't really
care.
Nicci, 27
Las Vegas, NV
USA
I can't stand it. It throws my whole body
clock off. The other day I was at work and looking at the microwave clock and it was 7:30
am. Who should be at work at that time of the morning? It's not right.
