| Have
you, or would you, ever run for public office?I don't see that happening in this
particular decade but never say never.
Alias Irrelevante
I ran for Township Trustee. I did it to show
our community that a woman could run and I qualified for the job. I missed the office by
just a few votes. I can't believe how dirty it got the last 2 days. I proved my point
though. There was no reason for the last 2 days to be nasty for a simple office like that.
But when certain people want an office they are willing to do anything for it. But the
person that pulleed the dirty stuff didn't win either as everyone in the community knew
who did what. It proved to be a very
interesting election and showed me the level people will go in politics.

Haven't and wouldn't.

I never had. But if I believed that
things would be better for some, I definitely would run to represent those people. However, it is almost certain that my ideals would get in the
way.

I never have, and with my picture in a nudie
magazine I probably won't...unless this world gets a *lot* more liberal.

I once ran for the school board in a
suburban community and lost by three votes, but given the modern attitude that all aspects
of the life of even the most minor candidate are fair target for attack, I should be
reluctant to run for anything today.

I would probably run for one of the
community board members, it would make me feel as though I am doing something important
for the world.

Me run for public office? Yeah,
right, and Stone Cold Steve Austin will be appointed US
ambassador to the UN. I would never run for public office because I play a extremely
high value on my privacy. Besides, if somebody ask too personal questions, I would have to
layeth the smacketh down upon them...Seriously, once they found out I like to wear womens'
clothes, well, I would be proverbially crucified..and it is not worth it...at one point I
was intrested in current events, now I am far more interested in events tht happened in
acienct Greece and Ancient Rome, and the Vikings, then I am about any current
events...unless you consider the latest angles in pro wrestling curent events.

Yeah, for a laugh. Instead of being a
Republican or a Democrat, I'd be a Monster Raving Lunatic. It could catch on...
Shanna, 15

I think I might at some point. I probably
wouldn't run for anything high level, but maybe a local government position.
Eric, 19

No.
Karen, 21

No I never have. I'm mildly
interested in theory, but in real life I just don't
have the time nor the drive.
Laura, 36

No. I lack the temperament and I'm not
tactful. I have worked and will work behind the scenes.
Jill, 60

No and I don't intend to. I work in a
government office in the front firing line, there are a lot of things that I would change
but that would be a thankless job that is too sticken with being politically correct to
progress in any form that would really make a difference to peoples lives. Where I live
the ex-convicts are given priority over families in being re-housed, alchoholics are given
money to drink with and half of the asian population claim money from the government
whilst working, ignorance is there only excuse and it's a valid one. So no.

I've never run for public office and I don't
think I ever would because I'm not "cutthroat" enough.
Reba, 51

Definitely. I love politics. I've always
admired Former Secretary of State, Madeline Albright and would love to have her old job
someday!

I've thought about running for mayor. Of
course I'm only 16, so that makes it a little bit difficult.

I haven't-and I probably wouldn't, b/c I
think it's a lot of BS.
