Do
you believe in the legalization of marijuana for medical purposes?Although I don't use
it I believe in the legalization of pot for both medical and recreational purposes. Drugs
are fine, it's the cars we need to get rid of.
Alias Irrelevante
I just believe in legalising it full stop.
If the government legalised and taxed it, they'd make a killing. And the smell is a lot
more pleasant than that of cigarettes.
Shanna, 15

I really don't have an opinion.
Laura, 36
Lowell, MA
USA
Yes.
Jill, 60
Saylorsburg, PA USA
As marijuana has been demonstrated
to have some clear medical benefits, I think it should be treated as a "controlled
substance" available by prescription.
Jane, 60
West Linn, OR
USA
Yes definitely.

If it helps, use it.
Tracy, 24
Ocean City, NJ USA
in a perfect society, yes. but in the real
world, i think a lot of people would abuse the privelege of having such a popular drug
legalized. besides, i think in today's medical world, with all these crazy breakthroughs,
modern science can find a healthy chemical alternative to weed.
Karen2, 15

Sure, why not.
Talia, 23
Wilton, CT
USA
I do believe in the legalization of
marijuana.
Eric, 19
Beverly Hills, CA USA
With strict controls, yes.
Jonathan, 19
Brevard, NC
USA
Absolutely: I have long held that marijuana
is okay for medicinal use...it's not a popular position, but at least Axl Rose and Guns N'
Roses agree with my position...great minds think alike, right?
Mick, 30
Chicago, IL
USA
Yes.
Steve, 29
Lake Worth, FL USA
I don't think marijuana should be
legalized for medical use because I feel there are
probably other things out there that work just as well at killing or numbing pain. I'm
afraid if it was legalized for medical use, "personal use" would be right around
the corner.
Reba, 51
Rockville, MD
USA
Yes. I might even go so far as to believe in
the legalization of marijuana, period. Maybe.
etoile, 20
Washington, DC USA
I don't really know about actual medicinal
benefits, but if it can offset symptoms for those in agony, and especially those who are
incurable...I say go for it.
Fisch, 45
Preston, CT
USA
I am for the legalization of marijuana,
period.
Maggie, 20

No I do not believe in legalizing
marijuana for medical purpose's. There are many
medications a sick person can take to help what they think the marijuana helps whether it
is for nausea etc. It is just another way that people get to use an excuse to use
marijuana. All these years I have known many people with cancer and they got through with
the medications that were offered. So there fore there is no addiction and going to
further drugs such as cocaine etc.
Marci, 56

USA
In short, yes.
Firelady, 23

I believe in the legalization of marijuana
for all purposes. I don't think it's healthy or safe, but look at tobacco... tobacco is
neither safer nor healthier. Also, I come from Oklahoma. Marijuana is more easily
available now than it would be if it were legal--if it were legal, government could to extent supervise who gets ahold of it and how.
Johanna, 18
OK USA
Yes, I do, and actually, for non-medical
reasons too (and no, I don't smoke it)..but I say that b/c I think that if it were
legalized fewer people would use it. Part of the fun is that it's illegal and thus a way
of not conforming.
Angela, 16
Aiken, SC
USA
If it makes the person feel
better... then yes... but not if they're just going to
abuse the privilege.
Jeremy, 14
Highlands Ranch, CO USA
Yes, I
think it would be fine. I don't think pot is any worse than alcohol. I don't see
what the big deal is!
Susan, 32
Chicago, IL
USA
Sure
Janet, 42
E. Brunswick, NJ USA
sure. . .
mothmc, 36
Los Angeles, CA USA
I believe in legalization of marijuana for
ALL purposes. Think of how peaceful the world would be...
A-Dog, 18
McMinnville, OR USA
I believe
marijuana should be legalized for every purpose! Medical, entertainment, relaxation,
household use, heck, there's more than one use for the stuff! If everyone knew what kind
of usage they would get out of it, everyone would fight to legalize it. I think it is
really silly that alcohol and cigerettes are legal but marijuana is not. Stupid, stupid,
stupid.
