What is the criteria for a right act?

Two left ones.

I'm not really sure what that means. An act that's morally right? I guess I just do what feels right in my gut and hope for the best. If you really do what you honestly consider to be the best thing you can do in a situation, you shouldn't be able to regret it later because you can say, "Well, I tried to do what was right."

Something you won't regret.

(i don't feel obliged to answer obtuse cryptic questions like this. . . .) . . . .a "right act" is the only act that's left after you've done every  wrong act right. . . . . . . . . . . ..

The Witch's Rede says, "Do what ye will that harm none". With Witch's intent is everything. Harm wished or done to anyone else will come back to you three times.

Since the exact same act can be both right and wrong depending on who perpetrates it and the circumstance, it seems that the whole thing is totally subjective. A right act is that which seeks for the best possible outcome under a given set of conditions.

Right and Wrong are only absolute perspectives of a majorities opinion.  I need to look beyond that concept a bit - In order to protect the rights of everyone, The criteria for a "wrong" act should not be assumed individually. A majority of people who live with in an agreed system of Law could decide what is a wrong/right or appropriate in areas defined as public. A structure should be made first which includes the most important aspects the peoples in the system want to outline. eg: free speech, press, religion, tax and have an election to nominate people that represent various groups within, and courts to enforce Law, police, juries, lawyers... Laws can then be made to protect all individuals within that structure, and ammendments made to protect the minorities. Without this infastructure things like racisim, hate and war occur.

Therefore, I think a wrong act can only result from ignorance. Individually we should rely on conscience, and religion to guide us. Guilt is the best indicatior of a personal wrong act! But society should rely on Law alone.
